5 Most Popular Celebrity Cars

There comes a moment in every successful celebrity’s life where they amass such a large amount of money that they struggle to find ways to spend it. Sure, they may have 5 houses, a luxury yacht and their own theme park, but one great way to splash the cash on a useful and aesthetically stunning object is by adding to their ever growing car collection.

Whether it’s a top of the line model or a completely custom design, if money isn’t an object the only thing holding them back is their inspiration. We’ve collated the most popular cars amongst the stars with an in-depth look at their specs and price tag.

Lamborghini Aventador

Horsepower: 690bhp
Top Speed: 217mph
0-60mph: 2.9s
Price: $387,000

Starting things off with a bang, the Lamborghini Aventador is extremely popular amongst celebrities due to it’s striking futuristic looks, neck breaking performance and high exclusivity. Costing nearly $400,000, it’s the primary choice for Kanye West, Kobe Bryant and Cristiano Ronaldo, and is usually seen in it’s trademark matte black color. With a top speed of 217mph and able to go from 0-60mph in less than 3 seconds, it’s not for the faint at heart.

Ferrari 458 Italia

Horsepower: 570bhp
Top Speed: 202mph
0-60mph: 3.4s
Price: $320,000

Although costing $60,000 less than the Aventador and slower overall performance, the 458 Italia is still a serious contender for most popular celebrity car. Opting for a more sleek and stealth like design, it looks stunning in matte black as well as in traditional Ferrari red, and is owned by Jeremy Clarkson, Flo Rida and Ozzy Osbourne. However you may want to think twice, as earlier this year Argentinian Soccer player Éver Banega had a narrow escape when his 458 Italia randomly caught fire and burnt to the ground.

Hennessey Venom GT Spyder

Horsepower: 1,244bhp
Top Speed: 260mph
0-60mph: 2.5s
Price: $1,100,000

The Venom GT Spyder is not only one of the most expensive cars in this collection, it boasts a mind blowing 1,244BHP and a top speed of 260mph. It’s owned by the likes of Steven Tyler, who has an impressive collection of cars and motorcycles, and suits his quirky rock star image perfectly. It costs a smidge over $1million and understandably each one is made to order. It really is the daddy of performance cars made purely for power and looks – due to it’s size you would struggle to park it in a normal sized parking space.

Bugatti Veyron

Horsepower: 987bhp
Top Speed: 267mph
0-60mph: 2.4s
Price: $1,700,000

The Bugatti Veyron is probably one of the most recognisable road legal supercars, drumming up plenty of publicity due to it’s sheer extravagance and A-list following. Popular amongst footballers such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Samuel Eto’o, it’s one of the fastest accelerating cars available, with a neck breaking 0-60mph in 2.4s and top speed of 267mph. Rumour has it that Bugatti actually make a loss by building and selling these cars, so you have to wonder why they do it.

Fisker Karma

Horsepower: 403bhp
Top Speed: 95mph
0-60mph: 6.3s
Price: $100,000

The Fisker Karma is the ultimate eco warrior. It may not be the most expensive, fastest or quickest accelerating car in the world, but due to it’s gasoline/electric hybrid construction it has impressive miles per gallon and extremely low fuel emissions. Despite it sounding rather boring, Fisker has done a great job on it’s aesthetics, moulding it into to an intimidating and head-turning beast. It’s the perfect choice for the environmentally friendly celebrity, and is owned by big names such as Justin Beiber, Emmanuel Adebayor and Leonardo DiCaprio.
