This video of an “Amazing T-Rex Illusion” proves that our eyes and our brains can sometimes play tricks on us. In the video, the head and eyes of the T-Rex appear to follow you wherever you go. Like the paper T-Rex is watching your every move. But it’s not actually moving. How is this possible?

Watch the video in it’s entirety, and you’ll learn how the folks at Brusspup pulled off this illusion. Since posting this video on YouTube just over a week ago, it has been viewed over 4 million times!

Watch Rhys Millen ‘Escape The Ring’ In Pennzoil’s Latest Drift Video

Published

Pennzoil - Escaping The Ring

Pennzoil Films puts out some of the coolest videos around, and their latest short Escaping The Ring is no exception. Watch as famed Hoonigan Rhys Millen takes to the Nürburgring in a bright yellow BMW M4 CS and proceeds to tear things up.

Ride shotgun with Millen as drives the wheels off of his 460-horsepower BMW, whipping, drifting, and sliding around the “Green Hell” before finally escaping out into the streets and onto the Autobahn. He really puts the car through the ringer, but it’s running on Pennzoil, so not to worry. 🙂

The 2018 BMW M4 CS is pretty insane, with a 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds, a top speed of 174 mph, and an official Nürburgring lap time of 7:38. They couldn’t have chosen a better car for this video, and Rhys shows us what it’s capable of in the right hands.

Throughout all the tight turns, straightway speed and heart-pumping hangtime, Pennzoil’s Escaping the Ring gives a new meaning to the term “escape artist.” So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

Watch Ken Block’s Death-Defying Run Up Pikes Peak In ‘Climbkhana’

Ken Block - Climbkhana

It’s man versus mountain in Climbkhana: Pikes Peak, the next evolution of Ken Block’s Gymkhana series, with the king of drift taking on the infamous Pikes Peak in his 1,400-horsepower twin-turbo methanol fueled 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2.

As with all of Block’s Gymkhana videos, there’s plenty of donuts, drifting, and hooning around as he makes is way through the 12.46 mile, 156-turn course. Only this time, the stakes are WAY higher, as one wrong move could send him flying off the side of a sheer cliff.

This is seriously one of his riskiest videos to date, and there’s a moment in the video (at the 5:25 mark) where it looks like he’s done for.. I’m pretty sure those sticky Toyo Proxes R888R tires saved his life!

As you’ll see, he doesn’t take the fastest route, but he burns plenty of rubber on the way. 🙂

Watch The Bugatti Chiron Accelerate From 0-249-0 MPH In Just 42 Seconds

Bugatti Chiron sets World Record

The Bugatti Chiron is one of the fastest and expensive cars on the planet, with an 8.0-liter W16-engine that puts out an incredible 1,500+ horsepower. Not bad, if you can afford the $3 million price tag.

While most of us will never see a Chiron in real life, let alone set foot inside of one, Bugatti has given us the next best thing, an incredible video showing the Bugatti Chiron accelerating from zero to 249 MPH and back to zero.. in just 41.96 seconds, setting a world record for a production vehicle.

The folks at Bugatti found a long stretch of pavement, strapped Formula One and IndyCar driver Juan Pablo Montoya behind the wheel, and told him to go for broke. He uses Launch Control to achieve a standing start.

From there, we see the incredible acceleration of the Bugatti Chiron, its absolutely linear power curve and the enormous torque the result of the two-stage turbocharging system. Montoya keeps the gas pedal floored until he hits 400 km/h (249 MPH), at which point he steps firmly on the brakes. Only 0.8 seconds after hitting the brakes, the rear wing moves up to an angle of 49°, forming an air brake that decelerates the Chiron quickly.

After an incredible 9.3 seconds and 491 meters, the Chiron comes to a halt.

Montoya was thrilled at the acceleration and braking performance of the Chiron. “The Chiron is so incredibly fast it takes your breath away. And its braking is at least as impressive,” is how he describes his impressions following the record run.

So buckle up, turn your speakers way up, and watch the incredible record-setting 0-400-0 km/h run below.

And for those wondering what kind of vehicle was able to keep up and capture this footage of the Chiron as it accelerated north of 200 MPH, turns out it was another Bugatti Chiron!
