Coloud Headphones: A New Look At Headphone Design

It is no secret that the guys here at Guys Gab love our music. So when we hear about a company that tries to change the way the industry thinks about headphone design, we take notice.

Meet Coloud. Designed to be highly durable at a manageable price point, the Coloud line of products comes with many thoughtful features. The first of these features is a microphone with button control on all headphones. This is a feature that Is extremely useful to any smartphone user.

More thought has gone into the design of the cord itself. The cable is flat to make it easier to wrap and less likely to tangle, and then you have the patent pending Zound Lasso. This may be the greatest invention since the headphone itself. The 3.5mm headphone plug is flexible, and can lock into itself, creating a looped space to hold the headphone wires. Even the box has unique design, with a cool triangle shape that will be sure to stand out on the shelf. It also looks like it would use less plastic than standard package, which is something we can also appreciate.

The headphones come in three sizes, each with the unique looking Coloud Style, Pop, Knock and Boom. THe Boom are the largest and are an ear over design. The Knock is a smaller on ear style of heaphone, and the Pop is an in-ear style earbud. Each features the orange color, Zound Lasso and sturdy design.

We haven’t had the chance to test these headphones yet, so sound quality is a mystery, but with prices between $20 and $40, they may be worth picking up if you are looking for a fresh set of speakers for your head. They are on sale now at Target and Macy’s stores.
