How Men And Women Differ In Viewing Porn

Seriously, they were this big!

On Friday, Dr. Drew talked with Dr. Gail Dines, author of “Porn Land: How Porn Has Hijacked Our Sexuality,” and Stormy Daniel, former porn star and current adult film director/producer, to examine opposing views of the impact of porn on today’s youth. Never one to shy away from a controversial topic, Dr. Drew also used his guests’ contending perspectives to discuss the differences between how men and women view the subject and its impact on society.

Daniel made the following statement about how men and women differ in viewing porn:
“Women are definitely more interested in the story line. A man’s perfectly happy to put in a DVD, and go straight to the sex scene with no lead up. If you put that in next to your wife, chances are she’s going to say, ‘I would never bang the pizza delivery guy, why does she like him so much?’ Story line and romance is a lot more important to a woman.”

Dines talks about the impact of porn on society, and on men’s expectations of sex:
“The average age of first viewing pornography is about 11 or 12. When that boy types ‘porn’ into Google, he comes up with hardcore, body-punishing sex. He has no history of sex, he’s had no sexual experiences for most of them, so this is what he thinks sex is. So today, porn is the most profound form of sex education that exists in our society.”

Both guests make a valid argument for the positive and negative aspects of porn, but what do you think? You can check out the full clip below:

Be sure to tune in to Dr. Drew’s new show weeknights on HLN @ 9pm ET/PT.

Trent Carter is looking to keep the tradition of T&A alive and well in today's politically correct world with his popular Thong Battle features, among other things. He also covers even racier topics on our sister site, which is definitely not safe for work!
