Serve These Refreshing Drinks At Your Memorial Day Bash

on

Memorial Day is right around the corner, and every year we throw a big pool party to celebrate the occasion. After all, isn’t that what summer’s all about, getting outside and having fun with your friends and family after being cooped up all winter?

Now if you want your party to stand out from the crowd, you’ll want to serve something beside beer and wine. And while it might be tempting to break out the blender and make frozen drinks for your guest, if you do that you’ll be stuck behind the bar all night, missing out on all the fun.

Instead, we’ve got some refreshing summer drinks that are simple to make and sure to please:

SKYY Barcraft
Skyy Barcraft - Margarita Lime

Making a great cocktail takes time, artistry, and skill. It’s that degree of complexity that most of us appreciate at a bar but find unattainable at home. Until now. SKYY Barcraft hacked the modern cocktail, enabling you to make terrific tasting cocktails with ease – Just add one part SKYY Barcraft to two parts club soda over ice!

Choose from Watermelon Fresca, Margarita Lime, or White Sangria. We’ve tried all three flavors, and you can’t go wrong with any one of them on a hot summer day. (750mL – $18.49)

Caramel Comfort
Southern Comfort’s Caramel Comfort

Caramel Comfort delivers a delicious blend of Southern Comfort with the smooth taste of caramel, along with notes of vanilla, whiskey and spice. You can serve it as chilled shot, or you can create a sweet and spritzy experience by mixing Caramel Comfort with Sprite on the rocks. Either way, it’s sure to please.

It’s the perfect combination of sweet, smooth and delicious. Swoolicious? Probably not a real word but we honestly don’t care; we just know it’s a darn good beverage to enjoy with friends. (750mL – $16.99)

Parrot Bay Margarita with Coconut Water
Parrot Bay Margarita with Coconut Water

Parrot Bay Margarita with Coconut Water delivers a smooth and tropical taste with only 150 calories per 8 oz. slim line can. But the reduced calorie count doesn’t sacrifice quality flavor, as the premium malt beverage is infused with coconut water and a hint of lime to deliver the perfect blend of zest and Zen for a delicious margarita, from beach to backyard barbeque.

We actually did a blind taste test with this and another margarita in a can, and Parrot Bay won every single time. Impressive indeed! (12 pack of 8 oz. cans – $10.99)

Strongbow Hard Apple Ciders
Strongbow Hard Apple Cider

Strongbow Hard Apple Ciders, which was recently named the best tasting hard cider at the 2014 World Beer Championships, have launched two new flavors, Strongbow Red Berries and Strongbow Ginger, as part of their new variety pack. With refreshment at its core, Strongbow Red Berries delivers a blend of sweet, tangy mixed berries with subtle lemon notes and crisp apple finish, while Strongbow Ginger pairs the taste of fresh-sliced ginger with muscato notes for an undeniably refreshing experience.

I love this stuff, and if it’s good enough for Sir Patrick Stewart, it’s definitely good enough for your guests.

Here’s to a great Memorial Day bash!

Trent Carter is looking to keep the tradition of T&A alive and well in today's politically correct world with his popular Thong Battle features, among other things. He also covers even racier topics on our sister site, which is definitely not safe for work!
