Stories Beat Stuff 3 US

Life is all about great experiences, not just about having cool stuff. As such, the Stories Beat Stuff campaign was born to invite people to trade a physical object or objects that they value for the chance to win a free experience of a lifetime in New Zealand.

Phase 3 of the Stories Beat Stuff competition is underway, and Tourism New Zealand is giving away two new experiences – Culture Kaboom and City Splendour – and you can bring three of your friends with you! Each experience has increased in value from the first phase, from $20K to $30K.

Culture Kaboom:

If you're into volcanos, then Culture Kaboom is just what the doctor ordered! New Zealand’s volcanic past has shaped its infamous landscape and the culture of its people, and this experience has plenty of both.

First, you'll land in a city with over 50 volcanoes, and that’s where your trip starts to heat up. As you head east, you’ll see the Earth come alive with boiling mud pools, steaming geysers, and a hot water beach.

This fiery landscape is also the heartland of Maori culture, and it's your chance to experience authentic New Zealand hospitality. Make friends with the locals while you dig a hangi, visit a marae and fish for your dinner - You’ll feel like a true blue kiwi in no time.

Thermal wonders, welcoming people, breathtaking landscapes and legends of the land. This is why tourists come to New Zealand. Now’s your chance to become part of the story of New Zealand and add your own exciting twist to the tale

City Splendour:

In City Splendour, the winner gets to visit New Zealand’s three largest cities – Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland. All are beautiful cities within themselves, but it’s what you can do in 30 minutes that makes them so unique. Imagine going from a downtown club to whale watching. From eating at the hottest restaurant in town to catching some fish in the harbour. From wearing the best from kiwi designers to seeing kiwi birds in the wild. It's amazing how you can go off the beaten track, and moments later be relaxing at a boutique hotel. Their natural city sites are equally as wonderous as the man-made, and the winner gets VIP access to all of it.

Tell me this doesn't look awesome:

Count me in for City Splendour! It sounds like the perfect opportunity to see what these great cities have to offer, while still getting to partake in some nature activities, really the best of both worlds! But with that comes the big question – What am I willing to give up for this trip?

I'm rarely without my trusty iPad, but I'm willing to give it up for this once-in-a-lifetime trip to New Zealand!

What about you? It's easy to enter, just head on over to www.facebook.com/purenewzealand/ and submit a video or send a photo of what you’d trade for a trip to New Zealand – making sure it’s a real object! You can also win the second prize of flights for two people to New Zealand simply by voting on an entry!

Good luck!
