Actor Verne Troyer decided to treat himself to a little Christmas present this holiday season – a Tesla Model S. But rather than drop six-figures on the P100D with Ludicrous mode, he opted for one a little better suited for his small stature, a Tesla Model S For Kids by Radio Flyer that recreates the ultimate Tesla experience, complete with electric charging, instant torque, and a top speed of 6 MPH.
As you can see, Verne wastes no time pulling it out of the box and firing it up, before he goes drifting around his garage with a big ol’ grin on his face. 6 miles per hour never looked so fun!
Harrison Ford Was Paid 76x More Than His ‘The Force Awakens’ Co-Stars
Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm for $4 Billion appears to be the deal of the century, as Star Wars: The Force Awakens has already brought in a record $529 million globally in just the first weekend. But just how much money did The Force Awakens actors earn to join a galaxy far, far away?
According to The Daily Mail, Harrison Ford earned a staggering $25 million to reprise his role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, plus a back-end deal that nets him an additional 0.5% of the box office gross, which could mean another $9 million if the movie hits the high end of its box office predictions.
While Ford’s massive payday shouldn’t come as a big surprise given Ford’s prominent role in the movie, it’s reportedly 76 times that of newcomers John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, who each received a mere $450,000. Even Star Wars veteran Carrie Fisher reportedly only received $1.5 million to appear in The Force Awakens, though she had limited screen time and wasn’t exactly pivotal to the plot.
Still, it seems like money well spent to me. Without Harrison Ford on board for the movie, there would have been no Han Solo, no Chewbacca, and no Kylo Ren. Without them, the movie would have been completely different. But Boyega or Ridley, anyone could have played those parts as they were relative unknowns.
Do you think Harrison Ford deserved such a hefty paycheck for The Force Awakens?
Charlie Sheen Drops A Bombshell On TODAY Show, Reveals That He Has HIV
For weeks now, rumors have been circulating about a womanizing Hollywood A-lister testing positive for HIV, fueling wild speculation about who it could be. Leo, Clooney, Sheen, the list went on and on.
Today on the TODAY Show, Charlie Sheen dropped the bombshell in an exclusive interview with Matt Lauer that he was diagnosed as HIV-positive about four years ago, and that he’s paid people upward of $10 million to keep quiet about his situation.
“I’m here to admit that I am in fact HIV-positive,” Sheen told NBC’s Matt Lauer. “And I have to put a stop to this onslaught, this barrage of attacks and of sub-truths and very harmful and mercurial stories that are about the [alleged] threatening the health of so many others, which couldn’t be farther from the truth.”
Charlie Sheen is one of Hollywood’s best-known actors, starring in hit films such as Wall Street and on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. The 50-year old says he’s not sure how he contracted the virus.
He said the diagnosis came after he suffered a series of cluster headaches and night sweats. “After a battery of tests … they walked in the room and said, ‘Boom, here’s what’s going on.’
Sheen said he revealed the diagnosis to people he thought he trusted, but some of them demanded money to keep the information to themselves. One of those people was a prostitute who entered his bathroom, took a cellphone picture of his medication and threatened to sell the image.
Asked if he would continue to pay the people he’d been paying, he said: “Not after today, I’m not.”
You can watch a clip from his TODAY Show interview below:
Thanksfully, an HIV diagnosis isn’t the death sentence that it once was. Charlie Sheen was immediately put on a daily antiviral “cocktail” of HIV drugs to keep the virus from developing resistance and spreading. While there’s no cure, these drugs make it a more manageable illness.
That’s Right Fellas, Kaley Cuoco Is Back On The Market
The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco is getting divorced from her husband, tennis player Ryan Sweeting, after just 21-months of marriage. The couple fought back against rumors of marriage troubles earlier this year, but clearly there was trouble in paradise.
Given that they got married after just THREE months of dating, it’s honestly not all that surprising.. But I hope that Cuoco had the good sense to make him sign a pre-nup before they tied the knot, since she’s earning one million dollars an episode on The Big Bang Theory. Sweeting, on the other hand, earned almost nothing this year, struggling with injuries and barely playing tennis at all.
The silver lining in all of this? She’s back on the market! Sure, you probably don’t stand a chance with her, but as Lloyd said in Dumb & Dumber, “So you’re telling me there’s a chance!”
And Kaley, I think I’m speaking for every guy out there when I beg of you to please grow your hair long again. Movie or not, you look 1000x better with long hair!
