Disney has released the official trailer for their upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, giving us fans a peek at the next standalone installment of the Star Wars franchise. Like many of you, I was a little hesitant about a Han Solo origin story.
But after watching this trailer, I’m all in!
The trailer for Solo opens with young Han being recruited for a job. He tells Tobias Beckett that he’s a driver and that he’s waited a long time for a shot like this. Becket warns him that once he joins, he’s part of this life forever. And so it begins.
Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars sagas most unlikely heroes.
We wish we could just make the jump to May 25th already when Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters, but this trailer will have to tide us over until then.
Watch The Terrifying Final ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Trailer
Universal Pictures just released the final trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the sequel to 2015’s Jurassic World, which is set to stampede into theaters on June 22nd, 2017.
It’s been 4 years since Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment, and Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles. But when the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen and Claire must rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event.
But that’s not all. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition discovers that a shadowy arms company has created a genetically-engineered dinosaur called the Indoraptor, described as “the most dangerous creature that ever walked the earth,” that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times!
Naturally, it’s up to Owen and Claire to save the world, because as Dr. Malcolm wisely reflects, “those creatures were here before us and if we’re not careful they’re going to be here after us.”
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for this!
A Brand New ‘Star Wars’ Universe Film Trilogy Is Headed Our Way
Here is some good news for all the Star Wars fan out there who are upset because their favorite franchise is soon coming to an end – Get excited people, because it’s not over yet!
Disney & Lucasfilm announced that Star Wars: The Last Jedi writer-director Rian Johnson has been tapped to write and direct a trilogy of films that will fall under the Star Wars brand, but this will be a completely new story, with original characters, set in a corner of the galaxy that Star Wars lore has never before explored.
“We all loved working with Rian on The Last Jedi,” said Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm. “He’s a creative force, and watching him craft The Last Jedi from start to finish was one of the great joys of my career. Rian will do amazing things with the blank canvas of this new trilogy.”
While many purists are calling this a simple money grab, as a Star Wars fan myself, I’m excited to see what else lies outside of the Skywalker saga, as there is a whole colorful universe out there that we have only got glimpses of up until this point.
Of course, we’re going to have to wait awhile to see how this new trilogy pans out, as Episode IX isn’t slated to be released until December 2019.
Are you excited for a brand-new Star Wars trilogy?
Check Out The Latest Trailer For ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’
The latest trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi premiered during halftime of Monday Night Football last night, giving us a sneak peak at this year’s most anticipated film. And from the looks of it, we’re in for a real treat!
While we’ll have to wait until December 15 to get answers to the questions that have been eating away at us since the credits rolled on The Force Awakens two years ago, the new trailer gives us some insight on what is to come. We also get a longer look at Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker in this 154-second trailer than we got in all 135-minutes of the last movie.
Picking up where the last film left off, we see Rey seeking the tutelage of Luke on the planet Ahch-To, where he has exiled himself. We see her using the Force, to which Skywalker responds: “I’ve seen this raw strength only once before. It didn’t scare me enough then. It does now.”
Needless to say, if you want to be surprised when you enter the theater, DON’T WATCH THIS TRAILER. For everyone else, prepare to have your collective minds blown.
