Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

The recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees are all names you should recognize. But it’s outrageous to look up your favorite group, only to find that they aren’t in there. I mean, how in the world did some of these musicians make the cut while others didn’t? It amazes me that bands like Bon Jovi, Chicago, Blink 182, and Alice in Chains haven’t been inducted yet, especially compare to some of the bands that just got in this year. It makes you wonder what’s going on over there.

Are you a musician who one day aspires to be inducted into the iconic Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Then you will need to set yourself apart from the rest of the up and coming musicians of the modern day. At some point in time, every kids dreams of being a famous musician. What happens after that dream are the factors that make the dream reality or not. It truly takes time, money, and dedication to build the skill and experience it takes to be remembered as “one of the greats”.

If this is your lifelong dream, you have probably been practicing for at least a little while now. No matter what instrument you play, you can always improve. If you feel that you’ve reached the limit of what you can learn on your own, seek professional help. You’d be surprised at the insight, skill, technique, and confidence that you get pick up from guitar teachers, piano teachers, and vocal experts. Many of them have various college degrees from places like Juilliard, and have professional experience as musicians.

Once you have found the perfect teacher for you and your skill level, you can put that newfound skill to use onstage. Perform at open mic nights, local battles of the bands, and other local events that will get you heard.

A great philosophy to remember is, “To be the best, you have to learn from the best”. I don’t mean that you have to try to employ Zakk Wylde as your personal guitar teacher. I mean that you need to look at the recent inductees to learn how they achieved such greatness.

Here’a a list of some recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. These are some shining examples for any aspiring musician to learn from:

1. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts

Joan Jett started her professional music career with The Runaways, in 1975. After several years touring and playing with them, the band fell apart and Joan Jett formed the Blackhearts. They were inducted in 2015. Their biggest hit was “I love Rock ‘n’ Roll”, which was number one on the music charts in 1982. The song has been featured on many movies and TV shows. They remain a band and still play big shows to this day.

2. Rush

After decades of touring the world, playing amazing shows, and writing astounding music, Rush finally made it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. They have long been considered the “godfathers” of progressive rock, at least since 1976 when they released the album 2112, which has been recognized as one of the greatest rock and roll works in all of history. With songs like “Tom Sawyer”, “YYZ”, and “Limelight”, they have been at the top of the music charts for ages now. It’s about time they made it, don’t you think?

3. KISS

With years of success under their belts, KISS was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014. Why it took so long? Don’t ask me! Not only have they topped the music charts with a bunch of their songs, they are arguably the most successful band in the rock and roll world to date! The band was formed in the early ’70s, and they instantly became a huge hit with their song “Firehouse”. These two songs are some of the first ones any modern guitarist learns. The successes of these songs and albums have propelled Green Day into a prime place to be inducted.

5. Public Enemy

Chuck D, Flava Flav, Professor Griff, and many more came together in 1987 to form this group, which was attributed with being the voice of American black youth through the late ’80s and early ’90s.
