Arnold Schwarzenegger’s FUBAR Season 2 Is Dropping On Netflix June 12th

Fans of FUBAR, get ready for more action, as Netflix renewed the Arnold Schwarzenegger-led spy comedy for a second season, and it’ll be here sooner than you think, with FUBAR Season 2 dropping on June 12, 2025.

The news of a second season was first announced during Netflix’s TUDUM Global Fan Event in Brazil in 2023, where Schwarzenegger appeared to thank fans directly:

“FUBAR was number one on Netflix around the world — and you made that happen. There’s been a lot of pressure on my shoulders to do a great show and to be number one, so now we are number one — and I want to say thank you for that support. I can’t wait to get back to work on Season 2 of FUBAR.”

A Strong Start for Schwarzenegger’s First TV Role

FUBAR made serious noise when it dropped on Netflix in May 2023, becoming a global hit and landing in the Top 10 in over 90 countries, thanks to its mix of over-the-top action and classic Schwarzenegger charisma.

The show marked Schwarzenegger’s first-ever leading role in a scripted TV series, and its mix of comedy, spy drama, and family tension struck a chord with viewers.

In the series, Schwarzenegger plays CIA operative Luke Brunner, who finds himself back in the field just as he’s ready to retire—only to discover that his daughter, Emma, has been working for the agency in secret. It’s a premise that brings together classic action and undercover twists, with a focus on the father-daughter dynamic at the center.

What to Expect in Season 2

Season 2 picks up after the explosive events of the Season 1 finale, where the Brunner family’s covert identities were compromised.

Creator Nick Santora hinted at the challenges ahead, stating that the extended Brunner family will have “a million things they’re going to have to deal with,” such as what’s going on with the shady analyst Tina. “In Season 2, we’re going to go in knowing there might be a rat in the kitchen. And what are they going to do about that?” Not to mention that Luke and all his fellow agents’ identities have been exposed.

Adding to the intrigue, Carrie-Anne Moss joins the cast as Greta Nelso, a former East German spy and Luke’s ex, promising to bring both tension and chemistry to the screen.

Schwarzenegger expressed his enthusiasm: “I had such a fantastic time filming with Carrie-Anne Moss. She’s a badass in every way.”
