Last month, Ticketmaster finally settled a $400 million class action lawsuit over its exorbitant fees, and they’re paying out the suit in the form of discount codes and free ticket vouchers.
So if you were one of the 50 million people who bought tickets from Ticketmaster’s website between October 21st, 1999 and February 27th, 2013, you’ve probably got some free ticket vouchers or discount codes waiting for you in your Ticketmaster account.
To see if you qualify, simply log in to your Ticketmaster account, go to “My Account” and then scroll down and click on “Active Vouchers” to find out if you have any offers in your account. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I logged into my account (which I haven’t used since 2008) and saw 17 free ticket vouchers waiting for me, along with a slew of $2.25 discount codes and a few $5.00 UPS shipping credits.
The vouchers are for two free general admission tickets, but they will only be valid for eligible events — which Ticketmaster is still finalizing. Once the events have been picked, Ticketmaster will be updating its website with a list of eligible shows. Still, free is free, so I’ll gladly go and take in a few free concerts.
EDIT: The list of free concerts is up and can be seen here.
How many free tickets did you get? Shout out in the comments below!
