The lineup for Coachella 2016 was just released, and it’s official – Guns N’ Roses are indeed reuniting, and they will be headlining the two Saturday shows (making a reported $3 million per show). Axl Rose and Slash will be part of the lineup, along with bassist Duff McKagan. As for the rest of the original GnR members, that still remains to be seen.
The other two headliners for this year’s Coachella music festival are LCD Soundsystem (who last performed together in 2011) and Calvin Harris. While there were rumors that the surviving members of the pioneering gangsta rap group N.W.A. might reunite for Coachella this year, that proved to be unfounded. But N.W.A. alum Ice Cube will be performing at Coachella, which should be pretty dope.
As you can see from the concert bill below, there are a slew of great bands performing at Coachella this year. In fact, this might just be their best lineup yet! Besides the headliners, I’m looking forward to checking out Ellie Goulding, M83, Ice Cube, Zedd, Major Lazer, and Rancid. Everything else is just gravy.
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival tickets go on sale this Wednesday (Jan. 6) at 11AM PT.
