Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving?
It’s kind of crazy when you think about it, people slaved in the kitchen for almost 48 hours, and the actual meal barely lasted 20 minutes. (Yes, our family literally INHALED everything on the table in record time!)
Still, it was an amazing feast, and I’m very thankful for everyone who contributed to dinner last night. Since I can barely boil water, my contribution came in the form of after-dinner cocktails.
Most people brought a bottle of wine with them, but I decided to mix things up a bit. Instead, I brought a bottle of Knob Creek Bourbon. What better way to unwind after dinner than with a cigar and a nice Manhattan?
What’s that, you’ve never had a Manhattan before? You’re missing out. They’re easy to make and taste great. Here’s how you make one:
2 parts Bourbon
1/2 part Sweet Vermouth
1/2 part Dry Vermouth
1 dash Bitters
Garnish: Maraschino Cherry
1. Fill a mixing glass with ice.
2. Add bourbon, vermouth, and bitters.
3. Stir and pour into a cocktail glass.
4. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
Pretty simple, right? Try it out and let me know what you think!
