Paul Stiffler was seeking personal therapy and peace of mind, so he turned to the great outdoors, making the 2,186-mile Appalachian Trail his new home. The man they call Ponytail Paul found a new sense of purpose when he took on the role of “Trail Angel”, helping others along on their journey across the longest hiking-only footpath in the world. “I’m helping them,” he said. “But they’re helping me at the same time.”
Paul’s story is pretty inspiring, to say the least, and I encourage you to listen to his story in the video above. Now who’s ready for a hike?
