One57 is a super-luxury high-rise on West 57th Street in New York City that’s being marketed as “an iconic transformation of the New York Skyline”, while locals consider it to be a giant eyesore that ruins the skyline.
But regardless of where you stand on the issue, here’s a fact you can’t dispute – They just set Manhattan’s record for the priciest condo sale, to the tune of $100.47 million! The anonymous buyer paid roughly $9000 per square foot for the two-story penthouse that occupies the 89th and 90th floors of One57.
In addition to unobstructed views of Central Park and Midtown Manhattan, the mystery billionaire buyer gets access to what the Daily News calls “uber luxe” amenities, like a steam room, a theater, a library, and more.
