Are you still accessing the Internet on a clunky old desktop from the 90’s? Believe it or not, there are still folks out there rocking CRT monitor, accessing the web over a 9600 baud modem, with a “You’ve Got Mail!” sound that plays every time they check their e-mail. Yikes!
And that’s exactly the demographic Intel is targeting with their “Monster Excitement” video. The video starts inside an office, showing us a guy fed up with his clunky 1990s desktop computer. Suddenly, a deep voice bellows at him, causing him to hide under his desk in fear.
“Is that old clunker ready for the junkyard?” the voice asks. “How about a new PC with real monster power?”
Out of nowhere, a monster truck comes crashing into the office. As he crawls out of the rubble, the driver of the “El Fuego” monster truck throws him an Intel Ultrabook, literally transforming him into a rock star and changing his life for good.
The video is all kinds of awesome, bringing me back to my childhood when I’d see those commercials during Saturday morning cartoons when Monster Jam came to town. “Saturday, Saturday, Saturday..” It’s not the type of commercial you’d expect from a tech company, but it’s pretty awesome nonetheless.
Be sure to check out the new Dell Ultrabook featuring the Intel Core processor. This sleek, thin, lightweight device is a heavyweight when it comes to adrenaline-pumping performance, visuals and speed.
The moral of the story? Get an Ultrabook and experience MONSTER EXCITEMENT!
