DAVIDOFF Cool Water has partnered with actor Scott Eastwood for their #WhatMakesTheOcean campaign.. And when you think about it, Eastwood is the perfect fit for them. After all, Cool Water epitomizes a certain lifestyle, combining intense physicality and an unmistakable sense of cool. Just like Scott Eastwood.
But it goes deeper than that. Eastwood’s actually been a fan of Cool Water’s “just-stepped-out-of-the-shower” scent since middle school, telling People magazine that “One of my first experiences with Cool Water was in seventh grade. The cool guy who lived across the street had all the good colognes and Cool Water was one of them. I remember it very specifically. I definitely probably stole a few bottles.”
Aside from nostalgia, the actor was particularly drawn to DAVIDOFF because of their mutual passion about marine conservation. Raised between Hawaii and California, he’s an avid swimmer, diver and surfer. So he’s proud to support DAVIDOFF’s Love the Ocean campaign, a collaborative effort with the National Geographic Society with a global goal of protecting 10% of the world’s ocean by 2020, “because it actually gives real dollars where it counts — into the science and research to conserve these places that really need it.”
The video you see above was shot on the Hawaiian coastline and emphasizes the unique bond between man and ocean, a primal relationship made of awe, complicity and sensuality. It pictures the Cool Water man in action, plunging into the churning waters (so quickly that he doesn’t have time to take off his jeans). In synch with the elements, he becomes one with the ocean: “What makes the ocean, makes the man.”
Thirsty women have been going absolutely crazy over this ad, so if your girlfriend or wife suddenly gives you a bottle of Cool Water, that’s probably why. 🙂
