The ‘Extreme Backyarding’ crew went across America searching for the most extreme backyards around, and in this latest video, Country musician and outdoor enthusiast Mark Wills visited Reed Handon, a world champion wakeskater from central Florida. Working with his father Andy, they built an incredible wakeskating pond in their backyard that’s like nothing you’ve ever seen!
Wakeskating combines the excitement of wakeboarding with elements of skateboards, only you’re not attached to the board in any way, allowing for extreme jumps, twists and tricks. Hansen, a seven-time wakeskating World Champion, needed a nearby place where he could practice at any time. And so began the massive undertaking of creating Battle Falls. The whole project took the father and son team six months to build, but as you’ll see in the video above, the results were well worth the effort.
I don’t know about you, but I think his backyard is definitely worthy of the “extreme” moniker. How sick would it be to have a setup like this in your backyard?!
