There’s Nothing Like A Vintage Porsche!

Published

on

I was bitten with the Porsche bug at an early age. My Dad’s co-worker was a PCA driving instructor, and he took me to my first event when I was really young. It was awesome!

One day in middle school, my buddy’s mom picked us up from school in her bright red 944 Turbo, and even though the backseats were small, I was grinning from ear to ear..

Porsches were featured in a number of 80’s movies (Risky Business, Sixteen Candles, etc), and Dylan even drove one in Beverly Hills 90210.

But I truly fell in love with Porsche when the 993 Twin Turbo came out in 1995. I had a poster of a Guards Red 993TT on my bedroom wall, and I thought it was absolutely gorgeous.

I wanted an older 911, but I needed a car that was reliable. (My old Alfa Romeo Spider was a nightmare) So I bought a Porsche Boxster in 1999. I had it for 12 years, and it was a blast! But it was starting to show it’s age, and I finally got rid of her a few months ago. 🙁

So without further ado, here’s a gallery of older Porsches..
