Last year, we showed you Palazzo di Amore, an incredible 25-acre Beverly Hills property that was for sale for the mind-boggling price of $195 million. At the time, it was the highest asking price for a home in the U.S.
But developer Nile Niami is building a massive Bel Air mansion that dwarfs it in every way, which he hopes to sell for a record $500 million. Nicknamed The One, the eye-popping estate designed by famed architect Paul McClean features a 74,000-square-foot main residence with a 5,000-square-foot master bedroom, a 30-car garage, a “Monaco-style casino,” and three smaller houses spread across four acres.
“The house will have almost every amenity available in the world,” said Niami, with 360-degree views of the Pacific Ocean, Beverly Hills, downtown Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.
If that’s not enough, there are also four pools (plans originally called for five pools, but hey, there’s a drought in California right now), a “jelly fish room” that has tanks on three walls and a light-changing ceiling, an 8,500-square-foot night club and a 45-seat IMAX theater.
Does the $500-million asking price seem a little unrealistic? Maybe, but the luxury real estate market is pretty hot right now, and Bel Air is the ultimate trophy. So it wouldn’t surprise me if an overseas billionaire comes in with an offer, if for no other reason than bragging rights.
Must be nice..
