Woman Wearing Headphones

Looking back at last week’s column, it would seem that I’m obsessed with Rap music. Actually, I have a wide variety of musical interests, you guys just happened to catch me on a week where my playlist was heavily skewed in one direction. But what a difference a week makes!

Tron Legacy Soundtrack by Daft Punk
Ever since I saw the new TRON movie, I’ve been obsessed with this soundtrack. I listened to it prior to seeing the movie, and it didn’t click with me. But after seeing the movie and identifying with the music, the soundtrack is absolute gold. A lot of Daft Punk faithfuls say the band sold out to the corporate monster, but I think this was the perfect band to score such a movie.

Head on over to Amazon.com, where you can listen to samples of all 22 tracks!

DJ DiBella – Please Let the Party Rock
I discovered this track while reading the weekly “Mashup Monday” list at Remix Nation. You can listen to it here, it’s the first link on the page. If you’re a fan of mainstream House music, you’ll probably enjoy this track. And if you like what you hear, you can also check out DJ DiBella’s full Winter Drunkerland mixtape!

Rachel Sehl – Sunglasses At Night (Ibiza Sessions ’10)
Canadian House Goddess Rachel Sehl has thrown legendary parties stretching across the globe. Some previous Sunglasses At Night parties have stretched from Miami to L.A, Amsterdam, London, Ibiza, Stockholm, San Francisco, Mauritius, Cancun, and beyond to some of the best clubs in the world. This is her live set from Ibiza last summer, and it’s been on heavy rotation for me ever since first listening to it. You can stream or download the set here.

That’s it for this week.. I’m REALLY getting into Dubstep, so if you have any suggestions for songs I should be listening to, leave me a comment. Thanks!
