Needless to say, if you’ve been waiting for the right moment to pull the trigger on a Slingshot, this might be it. Keep reading to see everything that’s new and improved for the 2026 Polaris Slingshot:
The Grand Touring Makes a Comeback
The big story here is the limited-edition 2026 Slingshot Grand Touring model which Polaris is bringing back with a serious style upgrade. This isn’t your basic Slingshot, it’s built for guys who want the full experience, combining aggressive looks with legitimate comfort for those longer rides.
The Grand Touring rocks a two-tone Viper Black and Green Venom paint scheme that’s not just eye-catching, it’s mesmerizing. The premium metallic finish features a green iridescent effect that shifts colors as you move around the vehicle. Add in the exclusive Grand Touring badging, and you’ve got something that demands attention at every stoplight.
“From first glance to every mile behind the wheel, the Slingshot is engineered to make the most of every moment — delivering a ride experience second to none. With new colors, premium finishes, and the return of our exclusive Grand Touring model, the 2026 lineup elevates that one-of-a-kind experience to new heights,” said Josh Hermes, Polaris Slingshot Vice President.
Power and Performance That Delivers
Under the hood, the Grand Touring packs the Polaris-built ProStar 2.0L four-cylinder engine, which puts out a stout 204 horsepower (which is bonkers in a vehicle as light as this). You can spec it with either a manual transmission or AutoDrive, and both come with two drive modes: Comfort and Slingshot. Comfort mode smooths out the shifts for a more relaxed cruise, while Slingshot mode delivers quicker, sharper shifts when you want to get aggressive.
The braking setup features Brembo stoppers for premium stopping power, and the Vented Sport Hood isn’t just for show, it actually improves aerodynamics and gets more air flowing through the cockpit.
Comfort Features That Actually Matter
Here’s where the Grand Touring really separates itself from the base models. It comes loaded with factory accessories that are designed for real-world use. The color-matched Slingshade and rear fender feature sleek lines and automotive-grade finishes that look factory-fresh. The Slingshade’s vertical opening T-Top panels use friction hinge technology and come with tinted windows, so you get overhead views without getting cooked by the sun.
Inside, you and your passenger get custom-stitched heated and cooled seats with controls mounted right on the seats themselves. Perfect for spring mornings or summer afternoons when the temperature swings.
Audio and Tech Upgrades
The 2026 Grand Touring doesn’t skimp on the tech front. The Rockford Fosgate Stage 3 Max + Lighting system delivers a full 360-degree audio experience with two 8-inch side panel speakers and two 6.5-inch headrest speakers, pumping out 700 watts of crystal-clear sound.
The XKGlow Interior Lighting kit takes things up another notch, letting you control the lighting via the Slingshot LED mobile app and sync it with your music for a rolling light show.
If you want even more connectivity, the subscription-based RIDE COMMAND+ offers real-time weather and traffic overlays, plus vehicle locator and health monitoring. The first year is free, then you’ll pay an annual fee after that.
Iridescent Finishes Across the Lineup
Polaris clearly heard what customers wanted, because they’re expanding their iridescent finish option across multiple models for 2026.
Hermes explained, “By popular demand, we’ve added our iridescent finish across three models and five colors in 2026, including the all-new Grand Touring. Under sunlight, colors shift with every angle, and the paint truly comes alive, giving the vehicle a one-of-a-kind look that stands out and demands attention.”
The color options for 2026 are legitimately impressive. The SL model gets White Lightning and Sunburst Orange, while Blue Rush is available on both the SL and SLR. The SLR also gets Mirage Gray.
The top-tier R model features blacked-out badging and premium paints including Radiant Gray with Red Indy Pearl (both iridescent), and a pearlescent White Crystal with Mint Fade (also iridescent). If you prefer a stealthier look, the R’s Midnight Smoke delivers a matte metallic finish.
New Wheels for SLR and R Models
Polaris is also upgrading the SLR and R models with five-spoke honeycomb wheels that look sharp and actually serve a purpose, increased airflow for better brake cooling. The SLR gets a machined finish, while the R rocks a gloss black finish.
