Indian Motorcycle 125th Anniversary Collection

America’s first motorcycle company, Indian Motorcycle, has officially hit the 125-year mark, and they’re not letting it pass without making some noise. The iconic brand just unveiled an exclusive limited-edition lineup of four hand-painted bikes and a matching apparel collection to celebrate a milestone that very few brands, let alone American ones, will ever reach.

These aren’t just commemorative bikes slapped with a badge and called a day. This collection is legitimately impressive, and the numbers are small enough that if you snooze, you lose.

Why 125 Years Is A Bigger Deal Than You Think

Indian Motorcycle 125th Anniversary Collection

Indian Motorcycle rolled its first bike out of Springfield, Massachusetts in 1901. That puts it ahead of virtually every competitor you can name, and the brand has survived world wars, corporate upheaval, and the full evolution of the American motorcycle market. To still be standing and still building machines worth talking about after 125 years says something.

“One hundred and twenty five years is a historic milestone and a true testament to the riders whose passion for the brand kept the spirit of Indian Motorcycle alive and remains our driving force to this day,” said Mike Kennedy, Indian Motorcycle CEO. “As we celebrate our anniversary, this special-edition collection of motorcycles and apparel reflects our pride as an iconic American brand and our unyielding commitment to craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and class-leading performance.”

The Paint Alone Makes These Worth Seeing In Person

Each model within the 125th Anniversary Collection is meticulously hand-painted, reflecting an exceptional level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. A 125th Anniversary Red with Black Crystal paint scheme delivers a one-of-a-kind aesthetic that celebrates the rich history of Indian Motorcycle. Base paint begins with the iconic Indian Motorcycle Red and is then enhanced with metallic micro-flakes that create a richer, more dynamic aesthetic, giving the lineup a distinctive presence unlike anything in Indian Motorcycle’s lineup.

Obsessive attention to detail highlights Indian Motorcycle’s craftsmanship that has defined the brand since 1901, including 125th anniversary pinstriping on each model with ghosted details reading, “ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY.” With limited quantities globally, every bike dons a unique serial number, further proving the collection’s exclusivity.

“This lineup represents the highest level of craftsmanship we’ve ever achieved. Every motorcycle was painstakingly designed and refined, not just to perform, but to tell a story.,” said Ola Stenegärd, Design Director for Indian Motorcycle. “The design of the 125th Anniversary Collection pays tribute to the legacy that built Indian Motorcycle, making every model not just a machine, but a lasting symbol of our history and our commitment to American craftsmanship.”

The Four Bikes In The Collection

Chief Vintage 125th Anniversary Edition — Only 250 available worldwide at $24,999. This one leans hard into the heritage angle with a floating seat, wire wheels, vintage bars, and Indian’s iconic valanced fenders. Under the hood is the Thunderstroke 116, pushing out 120 ft-lbs of torque. It also comes with the 4-inch touchscreen, a Pathfinder Adaptive LED headlight, and polished rider floorboards. If you want the one that looks like it rolled out of Indian’s golden era but rides like a modern machine, this is it.

Scout Bobber 125th Anniversary Edition — With 450 available globally at $17,499, this is the most accessible of the four. The Scout name carries serious legacy, and this version earns it. It’s stripped down, aggressive, and powered by the liquid-cooled 1250cc SpeedPlus engine cranking out 111 horsepower. Bobbed fenders and eight-spoke precision machined wheels complete the mean bobber look, and the 4-inch display keeps you connected on the road.

Indian Challenger 125th Anniversary Edition — Only 250 available at $41,999, and this one steps things up considerably. Powered by the same PowerPlus 112 motor that’s been winning King of the Baggers championships, this bagger brings serious performance in a premium package. Factory-fitted PowerBand Audio, saddlebag accent lights, polished floorboards for both rider and passenger, backlit switch cubes, a Pathfinder Adaptive LED headlight, a tinted Flare windscreen, five-spoke precision-machined wheels, and a 7-inch touchscreen all come standard.

Roadmaster 125th Anniversary Edition — The most exclusive of the bunch at just 100 units worldwide, priced at $43,999. The Roadmaster combines classic American style with raw performance and long-haul comfort. Signature elements like its iconic valanced front fender and classically styled fork-mounted fairing define its unmistakable American look, while its air-cooled Thunderstroke 116 provides a throaty exhaust note with plenty of passing power. PowerBand Audio offers a louder and clearer sound system, while exclusive 125th anniversary badging celebrates Indian Motorcycle’s iconic history. Color-matched engine finishes set the Roadmaster 125th Anniversary Edition apart from any other, while polished driver and passenger floorboards and a custom-stitched Heated and Cooled two-up seat improves driver and passenger comfort with a clean and classy design.

All four models are equipped with RIDE COMMAND+, which gives turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle locator, maintenance reminders, and full Bluetooth connectivity — including music control through wireless helmet communicators. The Scout and Chief Vintage get a 4-inch display; the Challenger and Roadmaster step up to the full 7-inch touchscreen.

There’s Also A Sick Limited-Edition Apparel Collection

Indian didn’t stop at the bikes. They put together an eight-piece limited-edition apparel line in collaboration with DIXXON Flannel that shares the same color palette and design DNA as the motorcycles. The lineup includes a DIXXON flannel, a leather jacket (limited to just 125 units), a varsity jacket, a crewneck sweatshirt, men’s and women’s T-shirts, and a hat. Prices run from $12.99 up to $399.99, with sizing available for both men and women. Each piece features 125th anniversary detailing through prints, embroidery, patches, and appliques.

The whole apparel collection is available exclusively at select Indian Motorcycle dealerships in very limited quantities, so this isn’t something you’ll find just anywhere.
