Chevy Dropped The Corvette ZR1X Pricing, And It’s A Hypercar Steal
Chevrolet just announced pricing details for the 2026 Corvette ZR1X, and this might just be the biggest power-per-dollar bargain in hypercar history. With 1,250 horsepower, an under 2 second 0–60 time, and a price tag that starts at just $207,395, the ZR1X is ready to punch way above its weight class — taking on $2 million+ exotics like the Ferrari F80 and McLaren W1… and doing it proudly with a “Made in America” badge.
Even the top-of-the-line Corvette ZR1X 3LZ convertible will only set you back $228,395, while the ultra-limited Quail Silver Limited Edition version starts at $241,395 – still pocket change compared to the $3.7 million Ferrari it’s chasing down on the track.
Let’s Break Down the Hypercar Numbers
This isn’t just some special trim package with a louder exhaust and a few stripes. The ZR1X is a full-blown hybrid American hypercar, combining a twin-turbo 5.5L LT7 V8 with an electric front-axle motor for a total of 1,250 horsepower and 973 lb-ft of torque. Chevy claims it can rocket from 0–60 mph in under 2 seconds on a closed course.
Let’s put that in perspective:
| Hypercar | Horsepower | 0–60 MPH | MSRP |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 Corvette ZR1X | 1,250 hp | < 2.0 sec | $207,395 |
| Ferrari F80 | 1,184 hp | 2.15 sec (0–62 mph) | $3.7 million |
| McLaren W1 | 1,258 hp | 2.7 sec (0–62 mph) | $2.1 million |
Chevy is delivering Bugatti-tier performance without the lottery-winning price tag. This is what democratized speed looks like.
The Quail Silver Limited Edition Is for Collectors Who Crave Exclusivity
If you’re the type who wants to stand out at Cars & Coffee or Monterey Car Week, Chevrolet is offering an ultra-exclusive Quail Silver Limited Edition — available only on the ZR1X 3LZ convertible.
This collector-spec ZR1X will be unveiled at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on August 15, and it’s the first Corvette in over 60 years to wear matte factory paint, a slick new Blade Silver Matte finish inspired by the Inca Silver found on first-gen Corvettes from the late ’50s.
“The Design team is always looking to innovate, and the Blade Silver Matte paint color marks a significant moment for Corvette as the first factory matte paint in 60 years,” said Phil Zak, executive design director of Global Chevrolet. “This new finish creates a distinctly high-end feel and offers a rare chance to own a truly unique expression of Corvette.”
Chevy’s giving it more than just a fresh coat of paint. The Quail Silver Edition also includes:
- Orange brake calipers
- Black exhaust tips
- Carbon flash painted mirrors
- A slick Sky Cool and Medium Ash Gray interior with Habanero accents
- A “Limited Edition” interior plaque and numbered build plate
This isn’t just a Corvette.. The ZR1X Quail Silver Limited Edition presents a highly exclusive option for Corvette customers looking for a collectible item.
Optional ZTK Performance Package for Track-Ready Precision
Want even more bite with that bark? The ZTK Performance Package will be available for the Quail Silver Edition and other ZR1X trims. It includes:
- Higher spring rates
- Revised chassis control tuning
- ZR1X Carbon Fiber Aero Package
- Track-attack Michelin Pilot Cup 2R tires
In other words, it’s Chevy’s way of telling Ferrari and McLaren, “We came to race.”
Built in America, Ready to Dominate Globally
All Corvette ZR1X models will be built at Chevy’s Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky, reinforcing the ZR1X’s claim as a red-blooded American hypercar that can go toe-to-toe with anything coming out of Italy or the UK.
Production begins by the end of 2025, and with pricing now official, the only question is: will you be lucky enough to get an allocation for one?
