Porsche’s New Manthey Kit Makes The GT3 A (Better) Track Monster
If you thought the Porsche 911 GT3 was already a beast on the track, think again. Porsche just introduced a new Manthey Kit for the latest 992.2 generation GT3, and it’s transforming an already incredible machine into something truly extraordinary.
What Makes This Kit Special
The collaboration between Porsche’s Weissach Development Center and the racing specialists at Manthey has produced a track-focused upgrade package that doesn’t just add a few bolt-on parts, it fundamentally reimagines the GT3’s aerodynamics and handling. And here’s the best part: you can get it installed at Manthey-certified U.S. Porsche Centers without voiding your factory warranty.
Serious Downforce Numbers
Let’s talk about the aerodynamics, because this is where things get wild. The standard GT3 already produces impressive downforce, but the Manthey Kit takes it to another level entirely. The entire underbody has been reworked into one continuous aerodynamic element, with massive turning vanes that now stretch about 59 inches (a 39-inch increase over stock).
The front lip extends almost half an inch further, while new diffuser fins and side flaps push the front end down harder. At the rear, you’ve got a wider swan-neck wing with a Gurney flap and larger curved end plates that optimize airflow. Even the luggage compartment gets a smooth cover to eliminate turbulence underneath.
The result? Even in its most conservative setting, this kit generates 782 pounds of downforce. Crank everything to maximum for track-only configuration, and you’re looking at 1,190 pounds of downforce, all while maintaining the same drag coefficient as the standard car.
Track-Ready Suspension and Brakes
Downforce is meaningless if your suspension can’t handle it. That’s why Porsche and Manthey developed a special four-way adjustable coilover system specifically for this application. The front spring rates increase by 10% compared to the previous Manthey kit to manage the extra aerodynamic load, and you can adjust both rebound and compression without tools.
The setup delivers more mechanical grip and exceptional stability, especially when attacking curbs at speed. Optional lightweight forged wheels in 20- and 21-inch sizes drop 13.2 pounds of unsprung mass, while braided steel brake lines ensure consistent pedal feel during hard track sessions.
Proof in the Numbers
Porsche doesn’t mess around when it comes to validation. They sent reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven to the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the most demanding 12.9-mile circuit on the planet, to put the kit through its paces.
The result? A blistering lap time of 6:52.981, nearly three seconds faster than the previous-generation GT3 with its Manthey Kit. That’s a massive improvement for a car that was already at the top of its game. Both vehicles ran on optional Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, and the time was officially certified by a notary on site.
Make It Your Own
Beyond the performance hardware, Manthey offers plenty of ways to personalize your track weapon. Carbon fiber door sills with illuminated Manthey lettering, LED door projectors, and door decals let you showcase the kit’s pedigree. The included carbon fiber aerodiscs can be customized with colored decals, and you can add red, black, or yellow tow straps (just be sure to remove them before hitting public roads).
For the truly committed, carbon fiber front air outlets and rear air intakes are available to complete the race-ready aesthetic.
When Can You Get One?
The Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 is expected to be available in the U.S. starting in Spring 2026. Pricing will be announced closer to launch, but if you’re serious about track days and want the ultimate version of Porsche’s naturally aspirated masterpiece, this kit should be at the top of your wish list.
The Porsche 911 GT3 has always been the thinking man’s supercar – a precision instrument that rewards skill and commitment. With the Manthey Kit, it’s evolved into something even sharper, faster, and more focused. For those who live for track days, this might just be the ultimate factory-backed upgrade.
