Porsche 911 GT3 RS and 911 GT2 RS Manthey Kits Now Offered In The U.S.
While most people would consider the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and 911 GT2 RS to be the ultimate track cars right from the factory, for those maniacs who want to take things up another level, Porsche just announced U.S. availability of Manthey Kits for the 911 GT3 RS (992) currently in production, and the 2018-2020 911 GT2 RS (991).
Type 992 911 GT3 RS Manthey Kit
The 911 GT3 RS Manthey Kit is easy to spot thanks to its extensive aerodynamic modifications. The new front lip, which is supported by carbon fiber reinforcements, is much larger and has a new wing profile. This revision, along with revised Gurney flaps for the front wheel arches and dual dive planes attached to the left & right sides of the front fascia contribute to an increase in downforce at the front axle. The kit includes a carbon fiber panel that is installed in place of the rear window, bringing a 25% weight savings compared to the glass it replaces.
A carbon fiber shark fin, which improves cornering stability and is inspired by the 963 World Endurance Championship-winning race car sits over the CFRP panel. Combined with six additional roof fins, the shark fin diverts hot air from the front radiator to promote cool air induction for combustion, even under extreme conditions. The split DRS rear wing and the significantly larger wing-end plates increase rear downforce at the rear axle. A significantly widened rear diffuser with longer carbon fiber fins adds downforce without increasing drag. Carbon fiber aero discs reduce drag & complete the aerodynamic package to optimize airflow.
Overall, downforce increases by 20% with no additional drag. At 177 mph, the 911 GT3 RS Manthey Kit produces over 2,200 lbs. of downforce. This allows the driver to carry more speed while turning, especially through medium- and high-speed corners.
Type 992 911 GT3 RS: Semi-Active Coilover Suspension
The spring rates of the semi-active coilover suspension have been adjusted to compensate for the increased downforce, increasing 30% at the front axle and 15% at the rear. Four wheel and three body acceleration sensors work with a newly developed control unit to automatically adjust the dampers with extreme speed and precision.
The new dampers feature 2 separate valves for compression and rebound, each independently adjustable. This allows for precise tuning to match changing driving conditions and track surfaces, maximizing the stability. Depending on the driving mode (Normal, Sport, Track), different settings are available. In Track mode, the base setup can also be manually fine-tuned using dials on the steering wheel to suit personal preferences.
Type 992 911 GT3 RS: Track-Optimized Brakes
The brake components of the Manthey Kit are designed to meet the demands of track use. The braided steel brake lines provide even more direct pedal feedback and more immediate response to braking inputs.
Type 992 911 GT3 RS: Additional personalization options
For those looking to add a personal touch, the 911 GT3 RS can be further customized with visual enhancements. Illuminated carbon fiber door sill guards with white Manthey lettering and decals on the carbon fiber aero discs are available. Manthey decals in Neodyme, white, and black are available for the doors. Customers can also specify a towing eye in red, black or yellow- that can be fixed to either the front or rear bumper through the appropriate threaded hole. This part is intended for use only on tracks.

Type 991 911 GT2 RS Manthey Kit
Using components precisely matched to one another the Manthey Performance Kit consists of chassis, aerodynamic and brake components specially developed for the 911 GT2 RS and includes the Weissach Package’s light magnesium alloy wheels. As with the 911 GT3 RS, the aerodynamic components are immediately noticeable; additional flaps on the front spoiler increase downforce on the front axle in combination with a carbon underbody and new air guide elements in the area of the front wheels.
Downforce increases from approximately 108 to 154 lbs. at 124 mph, and on the rear axle from about 205 lbs. to 440 lbs. at the same speed. This is made possible thanks to a new rear spoiler, a modified diffuser and aerodiscs on the rear wheels. The track-optimized coilover suspension benefits from the many years of motorsport experience at Porsche and Manthey. The front shock absorbers can be adjusted to three different settings and there are four settings on those at the rear. Steel-encased brake lines ensure even more direct pedal feedback.
The magnesium wheels, 20-inch diameter at the front and 21-inches at the rear, save a total of approximately 25 lbs. and are available in Brilliant Silver, Black, Aurum, White Gold Metallic and Platinum. An additional water tank for spray-cooling of the intercoolers increases overall volume by approximately 2.3 gallons, thereby increasing the time between refills.
Pricing For The Manthey Kits
The 911 GT3 RS and 911 GT2 RS Manthey Kits are available through Manthey Certified U.S. Porsche Centers, with delivery expected by Spring, 2025. MSRP for the 911 GT3 RS Manthey Kit is $116,160, while MSRP for the 911 GT2 RS Manthey Kit is $113,140. Both prices exclude taxes and dealer installation costs.
Yes, that’s the price of a Porsche 911 right there. But for those who can afford to purchase and regularly track one of these bad boys, an extra $100K is just a drop in the bucket for them.
