Shake Shack Drops A French Onion Soup Burger, And It’s A Game-Changer
Fall is officially here, and Shake Shack is heating things up with a menu that’s got comfort food written all over it. They have taken the rich, bold flavors of French onion soup and reimagined them into burgers, fries, and even their first-ever onion rings (yum!). This is the kind of lineup that will make you want to ditch the soup spoon and grab a napkin.
The French Onion collection hits Shacks nationwide starting today, but if you had the Shack App, you could have gotten early access beginning September 9.
The Star of the Show: French Onion Soup Burger
Shake Shack describes it best: “We’re bringing the decadent, elevated flavors of French Onion Soup to Shacks nationwide — reimagining comfort food in a way only Shake Shack can.”
The French Onion Soup Burger delivers exactly that – a made-to-order quarter-pound Angus beef patty topped with melted Gruyère cheese, caramelized onions, crispy sweet onions, and roasted garlic parmesan aioli, all stacked on a toasted potato bun. It’s available as a single, double, or if you’re feeling really hungry, a triple.
The Supporting Cast: Shroom, Stack & Sides
While the burger is the headliner, the rest of the French Onion lineup is worth your attention:
- French Onion ‘Shroom Burger – A crisp-fried portobello mushroom stuffed with gooey Muenster and cheddar cheeses, topped with caramelized onions and that same roasted garlic parmesan aioli. Perfect for vegetarians or anyone who just loves mushrooms.
- French Onion Shack Stack – Can’t decide between beef or mushrooms? Don’t. This beast combines the Angus beef patty with a ‘Shroom Burger, layered with Gruyère, caramelized onions, and garlic aioli. It’s the best of both worlds stacked on one bun.
- Onion Rings – Shake Shack finally gives fans what they’ve been asking for: crispy, beer-battered onion rings made from sweet Spanish onions. Grab a side of sauce and go to town.
- Parmesan Garlic Fries – Their classic crinkle-cuts get a fall upgrade with parmesan cheese dusting and a side of roasted garlic parmesan aioli.
Limited-Time Only, So Don’t Sleep on This
Shake Shack’s take on soup season starts now, and with a burger that looks this good, we’re not arguing. Whether you’re into beef, mushrooms, or just a side of crispy rings and fries, this new menu was made for guys who want big flavors heading into fall.
The French Onion lineup is only here for a limited time, so if you’re hungry, fire up the Shack App, skip the line, and dig in before it’s gone.
