Elon Musk’s latest flex isn’t a new Cybertruck or a rocket launch—it’s a full-on diner-meets-drive-in-meets-Supercharger hub that just opened in the heart of West Hollywood. Say hello to the Tesla Diner, a two-story eatery and entertainment experience built on nostalgia, cutting-edge EV tech, and a heavy helping of cool.

Whether you’re road-tripping through LA or just want a place to grab a burger and hang with fellow gearheads and Tesla owners, this is your new bucket list destination.

Eat, Charge, and Chill on Route 66

Set on the iconic Route 66 at 7001 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, CA, the Tesla Diner is part of a new vision for what a charging station can be. It’s not just about topping off your EV’s battery, this place is a full-blown experience that redefines what it means to be on the road.

The West Hollywood location is home to 80 V4 Supercharger stalls, making it the largest urban Supercharging station in the world. These next-gen chargers are open to all NACS-compatible EVs, so you don’t even have to be driving a Tesla to get in on the action. And because Tesla integrated solar canopies across the western charging lot, the site is helping reduce its carbon footprint by an estimated 26.6 million pounds of CO₂ annually. Charging here isn’t just convenient—it’s environmentally responsible.

Classic Diner Vibes With a Tesla Twist

Tesla Diner

Tesla’s West Hollywood diner is where retro Americana meets Musk’s vision of the future. The aesthetic is unapologetically bold, combining classic chrome and neon design with sleek, modern tech. It’s part diner, part design statement, and 100% Tesla.

Inside, the two-story restaurant features over 250 seats spread across the ground floor and rooftop Skypad, where you can soak in the city views or catch a movie on the giant screens. Whether you’re dining inside, relaxing on the roof, or posted up in your car, you can order food right from your Tesla’s touchscreen via the Tesla Diner app. You can also order on-site at digital kiosks if you prefer a more traditional experience.

The menu was crafted by celebrity chef Eric Greenspan and is loaded with American classics, but with premium ingredients and bold flavor. The Tesla Burger is a highlight, served with “smashed crunchy edges made from 1/3lb. prime Brandt Beef with New School American cheese, lettuce, caramelized onions, pickles, and Electric Sauce on a Martin’s Potato Roll.”

Also on deck? Fried chicken and waffles, a killer grilled cheese on Tartine buttermilk bread, and an indulgent pecan pie served à la mode with Valley Ford Creamery ice cream. And if you’re lucky, your popcorn might even be delivered by a Tesla Optimus robot.

It’s Also a Drive-In Theater

This isn’t just a place to refuel your car and your stomach, it’s also Tesla’s take on the classic drive-in movie. Two massive 66-foot LED megascreens are mounted outside, showing everything from cult-favorite sci-fi films to SpaceX rocket launches. You can catch the action from rooftop seating on the Skypad or stream the movie directly to your Tesla’s cabin using the Tesla Diner app.

And there’s no ticket required for the drive-in movies. However, you must be actively charging your EV or dining at the restaurant to stick around and enjoy the show.

Exclusive Tesla Merch You Won’t Find Online

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Tesla launch without some slick branded merch—and the Tesla Diner delivers. Upstairs on the Skypad, you’ll find exclusive Tesla-branded gear that’s only available on-site.

The current lineup includes a 1:10 scale Tesla Bot Action Figure, which even “comes with (mini) fries,” a nod to the Diner theme. There’s also a Hollywood Retro Diner tee made from 100% cotton, Tesla Sweets in flavors like Dog Mode Chill, Mango Bolt, and CyberBerry, and a Tesla Diner trucker hat with a lightweight stretch weave and snapback closure.

The merch lineup rotates, so don’t wait too long if you want the good stuff, as these items are only available while supplies last.

Everything You Need to Know Before Visiting

The Tesla Diner is open to the public daily from 6 AM to midnight, while charging is available 24/7. If you’re driving a Tesla or any NACS-compatible EV, just pull into one of the 80 V4 Supercharger stalls. You don’t need a reservation to eat here, and valet parking is available on nights and weekends on North Sycamore Avenue. If you’re not charging or driving, nearby street parking and local garages offer other options.

Orders can be placed either from the touchscreen inside your Tesla, through the Diner app, or directly at one of the digital kiosks inside. While the diner doesn’t currently serve alcohol, you’ll find an assortment of mocktails, sodas, and coffee to fuel your meal. And if you’re dining with vegetarians, there are plant-based options on the menu—though the fries are cooked in beef tallow, so be sure to check details before ordering.

If you’re using rideshare, the best drop-off spot is on North Orange Drive, and if you’re on foot, enter from Santa Monica Boulevard. There’s also elevator access to the rooftop, making it accessible for all guests.

Whether you’re rolling up in your Model Y, Cybertruck, or any other NACS-enabled EV, this stop offers more than just a quick recharge. It’s food, film, fashion, and future—all on one legendary corner of Route 66. The Tesla Diner is officially open, and you won’t want to miss it!
