Shuck It & Sip It: Philly’s Ultimate Oyster & Wine Party Hits Fishtown This Week

You’ll dive into four mystery oysters and four mystery wines, trying to match each to its origin and profile using tasting cards provided at the event. Get the most correct answers, and you’re walking away not only with bragging rights, but also some prizes.

Meet Your Hosts:

Khanh Nguyen (Doctor Oyster) is a passionate chef and oyster entertainer who brings over a decade of experience and the energy of a competitive shucker to the table. From kitchens to oyster competitions across the country, the Philadelphia local’s journey has taught him that the most formidable challenges are often the most rewarding, a mindset he brings to his craft and love of oysters.

Daniel Solway is a Philadelphia-based sommelier who has worked everywhere from vineyards in Europe to Michelin-starred restaurants. With his company Santé, he curates private wine tastings and classes, pop-up dinners, and collaborative events. He has a deep appreciation for wines grown by farmers and crafted by artisans.
