Bob Odenkirk Is Back With A Vengeance In The First Trailer For Nobody 2
Bob Odenkirk is back as suburban husband, father and workaholic assassin Hutch Mansell, and this time, he’s not just fighting for his life, he’s fighting for his family’s vacation.
The first trailer for Nobody 2 is here, and it delivers everything fans loved about the original movie: explosive action, dark humor, and one very unlikely hero who doesn’t know how to stay retired. But this time around, things get a little… weirder.
While Hutch still has a taste for slam-bang violence, his personal life is showing signs of wear and tear. He and his wife Becca are feeling the strain of their chaotic, not-so-ordinary life. Hoping to reconnect and recharge, the Mansell family decides to take a break with their kids at Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark, a kitschy tourist trap that holds fond memories for Hutch and his brother Harry (RZA), who joins the trip along with their cranky but lethal father, played by Christopher Lloyd.
But Hutch isn’t exactly the type to stay out of trouble. The family’s sunny escape to the small town of Plummerville, where the slogan is “Plummerville is Summerville!”, quickly spirals into chaos after a run-in with some some town bullies puts them on the radar of the town’s corrupt theme park operator and the sketchy sheriff. And just when things couldn’t get worse, Hutch finds himself the focus of the most unhinged, blood-thirsty crime boss he (or anyone) has ever encountered, brought to life by none other than Sharon Stone.
Director Ilya Naishuller returns to keep the chaos controlled and the action slick. From brutal hand-to-hand fights in theme park bathrooms to shootouts behind the funnel cake stands, Nobody 2 looks like it’s doubling down on the absurdity while still packing that hard-hitting intensity that made the original a sleeper hit. Odenkirk continues to prove he’s not just a dramatic actor with great comedic timing—he’s a full-blown action star now.
The trailer gives fans everything they’re looking for: Odenkirk cracking skulls, RZA tossing one-liners, Lloyd brandishing a shotgun, and enough carnage to keep adrenaline junkies glued to their screens. But at its core, this is still a story about a man trying to balance his love of violence with the people he loves most.
Nobody 2 hits theaters August 15, and it’s shaping up to be one of the wildest rides of the year. Whether you’re here for the action, the family dynamics, or just to see what happens when Bob Odenkirk goes full beast mode in a water park, this sequel is not one to miss!
