Death is a relentless son of a bitch. Final Destination: Bloodlines, the newest chapter in New Line Cinema’s bloody successful franchise, takes audiences back to the very beginning of Death’s twisted sense of justice.

Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.

The trailer teases an idyllic family barbecue that suddenly begins to go wrong, with a piece of glass ending up on a drinking glass, a dangerous misplaced beer, and a scary incident while jumping on a trampoline.

It’s a pretty wild storyline, that a grandmother was supposed to die, but instead she lived and had a big family—and now, after decades, Death has finally worked its way back and is trying to kill all of them. Circle of life (or death), if you will.

Final Destination: Bloodlines stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, with Brec Bassinger, and Tony Todd.
