Some purchases are about owning something rare. Others are about owning something that is yours alone. Breitling and Aston Martin are now offering the second kind to a very small group of supercar buyers. The bespoke Super Chronomat experience gives Aston Martin Valhalla owners a rare opportunity to commission a bespoke Breitling Super Chronomat.

This is the first time Breitling has opened the design process of one of its signature collections to a select group of customers, and it ties one of the most anticipated supercars of the decade to one of the most recognizable names in watchmaking.

Two Brands Built Around Speed

Breitling is the Official Watch Partner to Aston Martin, so the pairing makes sense. Both of the brands grew out of a fascination with speed: one measured it, the other mastered it. This new program brings that shared obsession to the wrist in its most personal form.

Through a dedicated configurator, Valhalla owners can commission a Super Chronomat that is inspired by their individual car specification and their own taste. The idea is simple. Your car is not like anyone else’s, so your watch should not be either. Each timepiece is engineered with the same precision and attention to detail as the Valhalla itself.

The Car Behind The Watch

If you are going to build a watch around a car, it helps when the car is a monster. The Aston Martin Valhalla is the brand’s first series-production, mid-engine plug-in hybrid supercar, and it combines exceptional aerodynamics with race-derived engineering infused with Formula 1 technology.

Under the skin sits a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 working alongside three electric motors. Total output is about 1,064 hp, enough to launch the Valhalla from 0 to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 217 mph. Production is limited to just 999 examples worldwide, which makes this watch program one of the most exclusive accessory offers in the automotive world.

A First For Breitling

Breitling does not hand over the design keys to just anyone. Georges Kern, CEO of House of Brands, framed the move as an extension of the Valhalla ownership experience:

“Valhalla is a statement of what Aston Martin can do. Now we are bringing that same experience to the wrist. For the first time, we have opened up the Super Chronomat design process exclusively to Valhalla owners. This individual timepiece makes the connection to their exceptional vehicle even more personal.”

Owners who take part will be able to choose finishes and details that reflect both their car and themselves. That is a meaningful shift for a brand that is typically very particular about how its watches look.

Model One: Super Chronomat B19 44 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph

The first of the two models is the heavy hitter. The Super Chronomat B19 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph sits in a 44 mm titanium case and comes on Breitling’s signature Rouleaux bracelet. It combines bold design with one of watchmaking’s rarest pairings: an automatic perpetual calendar chronograph.

A few highlights stand out:

  • Carbon-fiber dial: It gives the watch a distinctive, motorsport-flavored character.
  • Display caseback: It reveals the black rotor and the movement in full.
  • Perpetual calendar: It is built to handle month lengths, moon phases, passing years and the leap years ahead, and requires no manual adjustment until 2100.
  • 96-hour power reserve: You can set the watch down for four days and pick it up again without losing its place.

That is legacy in watch form, bringing perpetuity to the road ahead. For owners of a car that will likely be cherished for decades, a watch that keeps correct time into the next century is a fitting companion.

Owners commissioning this model can customize the rehaut and seconds hand color, the counter hand color, and the rotor engraving. The rotor engraving is a nice touch, since it sits right there behind the display caseback where you can admire it.

Model Two: Super Chronomat Automatic 38

The second option takes a more refined approach. The Super Chronomat Automatic 38 pairs a 38 mm stainless-steel case and the iconic Rouleaux bracelet with a textured carbon-fiber dial and a diamond-set bezel. It balances performance-inspired materials with a polished presence.

The automatic three-hand display sits over the dial’s distinctive technical pattern, with a discreet date aperture at six o’clock. With its carbon dial and titanium crown, the watch brings true automotive performance materials to the wrist and creates a direct link between the Valhalla’s engineering language and Breitling’s watchmaking design.

Customization options for this model include the rehaut and hands color, plus a caseback engraving. At 38 mm, it is also a strong option for owners who prefer a more compact fit, or for anyone looking to commission a piece to share with a partner or family member.

Made In Two Centers Of Precision

Both the Valhalla and the Super Chronomat are built where their makers do their best work. The Valhalla is manufactured at Aston Martin’s global headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire, England. The Super Chronomat is crafted at Breitling’s Chronométrie in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Both products represent the pinnacle of engineering in their respective fields.

Stefano Saporetti, Director of Brand Diversification for Aston Martin, said the program shows how strong the partnership has become:

“Our partnership with Breitling is built on a shared ambition to create extraordinary products and experiences for our customers. This exclusive program demonstrates the strength of that collaboration, bringing together the expertise of two luxury brands to offer Valhalla owners something truly unique. More than a timepiece, it is a highly bespoke extension of the ownership experience, celebrating the individuality of each customer while reinforcing the exclusivity that defines both Aston Martin and Valhalla.”

Why This Matters For Watch And Car Fans

Car and watch collaborations are nothing new, but most are built for the masses, or at best a limited run you can buy if you are quick enough. This one is different. You cannot buy your way in with a pre-order or a lucky click. You need to own a Valhalla, one of only 999, and then you get to shape the watch around it.

Available exclusively to Aston Martin Valhalla owners, the program extends the ownership experience beyond the car itself. Through carefully curated finishes, personalized details and exceptional craftsmanship, each Super Chronomat becomes a unique reflection of its owner and the distinctive character of the Valhalla.

For the rest of us, it is a great look at where luxury is headed: less about owning the same thing everyone covets, and more about owning something that tells your story. Most of us will not be commissioning one of these watches any time soon. But if you ever find yourself with a Valhalla in the driveway, Breitling has a very good answer for what goes on your wrist.
