Aston Martin’s First Road Bike Is Here, And Only 300 People Will Own One

Aston Martin doesn’t build ordinary machines, and neither does Brough Superior. So when the two legendary British names teamed up, you knew the result were going to turn heads. That’s exactly what’s happened with the reveal of the AMB 002 Roadster, the first-ever street-legal motorcycle to come out of this partnership, and it’s every bit as wild as you’d expect.

If you’ve been following the AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro, the track-only superbikes that were released in 2019 and 2022, you already know these two brands don’t do things halfway. Now they’re bringing that same obsessive attention to detail onto public roads with a machine built strictly for riders who want something no one else on the highway will have.

What Makes the AMB 002 So Special

This isn’t a re-skinned version of something you’ve already seen. The AMB 002 was designed and engineered from the ground up, with no carryover parts. Every line, curve, and component exists because it needed to, not because it was convenient.

Aston Martin’s design studio brought its signature language to the bike in a big way. The carbon fiber fuel tank and side fairings have that smooth, sculpted look you’d expect from a supercar, and crescent-shaped gills cut into the flanks to help cool the engine while cleaning up airflow. The side-strake design, a hallmark of Aston Martin’s four-wheeled lineup, has been reworked here too, wrapping forward to frame the headlamp.

You’ll also spot design DNA borrowed straight from Aston’s hypercar lineup. The rear light blades are the same style used on the Vulcan, Valkyrie, and Valhalla, and those twin oval exhausts echo the ribbed heat sink look found on the Vanquish, DB12 S, and DBX S.

Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin, put the significance of this launch into perspective: “it was always a long-term dream to make an Aston Martin motorcycle for the road.” He added that the AMB 002 is meant to deliver “an ownership and riding experience unique in the world of motorcycling.”

The Engine and Performance Numbers

Under all that carbon fiber sits an all-new 1083cc four-stroke, water-cooled V-Twin, producing 130 hp and 81 lb-ft of torque. The engine was tuned for strong low and mid-range pull with a top-end that keeps building excitement the harder you push it, so it’s built for real road engagement rather than just chasing a top speed number.

The whole engine is designed, machined, and assembled in-house at Brough Superior’s HQ in Toulouse, France, using CNC-machined billet engine cases built to cut weight without sacrificing strength.

Thierry Henriette, President of Brough Superior Motorcycles Sas, described the ride feel in vivid terms, saying that the bike offers “exhilarating sensations, creating the impression of becoming one with a lightweight, precise blade.” He also noted that the riding position and visibility combine to create “a unique feeling of gliding above the road with absolute confidence and complete control.”

Lightweight Build and Chassis Tech

Weight is where things get really interesting. The frame is milled from a solid titanium billet and weighs just 11 pounds, a fraction of what a conventional motorcycle frame weighs. That backbone structure helps the AMB 002 hit a perfect 50:50 weight distribution, and the whole bike tips the scales at only 419 pounds.

Combine that with a low center of gravity thanks to the carbon bodywork and fuel tank, and you get a bike that feels planted and agile at the same time, exactly what you want when you’re leaned over mid-corner.

Another unique Brough Superior solution refined and applied to the AMB 002 is the distinctive double-wishbone ‘Fior fork’ front suspension, an evolution of the setup first developed for the AMB 001 Pro. Instead of a traditional telescopic fork, this design separates steering and braking forces, giving riders sharper front-end feedback along with serious stability under hard braking, even when leaned deep into a turn.

This launch isn’t just about one motorcycle. It’s proof that the Aston Martin and Brough Superior partnership has staying power. Stefano Saporetti, Director of Brand Diversification for Aston Martin, framed it as a major milestone, noting that the collaboration “has evolved into a powerhouse of luxury co-creation” and that it “proves that the appetite for Aston Martin’s design language extends far beyond four wheels when paired with Brough Superior’s unparalleled engineering.”

If you want to get your hands on this masterpiece, you had better hurry, as only 300 units will ever be built. Each one is hand-assembled, and you’ll likely never see another one on the road.

Pricing hasn’t been released yet but seeing as how the track-only AMB 001 sold for $120,000, we wouldn’t be surprising to see the AMB 002 come in somewhere between $90-100K.
