Meet the BBQ Brisket Whopper, the first major menu shake-up to come from BK’s brand-new “Whopper by You” platform, a program designed to let everyday guests (not celebrities) help shape what’s next for the flame-grilled icon.

The BBQ Brisket Whopper is a bold, smoky spin on the classic that will definitely satisfy your carnivorous cravings. It’s loaded with slow-cooked BBQ brisket, crispy onions, American cheese, and a sweet and golden BBQ sauce, all piled high on a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty and topped off with lettuce, tomato, and creamy mayo. BK is also offering the same flavor combo in a Whopper Jr. version, perfect if you just want a smaller bite of barbecue bliss.

Burger King says this new sandwich wasn’t just dreamed up in a test kitchen, it was inspired by what real Whopper fans have been asking for. Joel Yashinsky, Chief Marketing Officer for Burger King US&C, explained the concept behind the rollout:

“As the brand known for ‘Have It Your Way,’ we want to continue letting our guests tell us what they want – and when it comes to our iconic Whopper sandwich, they have a lot of ideas. We’re excited to kick off the ‘Whopper by You’ platform with the BBQ Brisket Whopper, a flavor profile that our Guests requested and we are very excited to answer.”

But this is just the beginning. The “Whopper by You” platform invites BK fans across the US to submit their own dream Whopper creations—whether that means cranking up the heat, adding extra cheese, or building something totally out of the box.

Starting July 15, anyone can head to BK.com/WBY and pitch their burger idea. And the best part? Submitting your Whopper concept comes with some tasty rewards.
