2027 INFINITI QX65

INFINITI has officially entered the luxury SUV conversation in a big way with the reveal of the all-new 2027 INFINITI QX65, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most interesting entries in the premium midsize SUV space. With a head-turning fastback roofline, a gold-flecked paint option, serious tech, and a cabin that’s gunning for best in segment, this is a vehicle worth getting excited about.

“The 2027 QX65 accelerates INFINITI into its next era, building on an impressive heritage of standout design language, luxurious client experiences and refined driver performance,” said Eric Ledieu, vice president, INFINITI Americas.

Built in Smyrna, Tennessee, the 2027 INFINITI QX65 is expected to hit dealerships in early summer 2026, with a starting price of $53,990.

A Design That Turns Heads, Even Standing Still

INFINITI is calling the QX65’s look an evolution of its “Artistry in Motion” design language, and honestly, the dramatic arching roofline and wide, sporty stance back that up. The fastback profile gives it a more athletic silhouette than your typical boxy SUV, and it does it without sacrificing cargo room: you get 35.8 cubic feet behind the second row and 67.7 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.

The marquee color at launch is Sunfire Red, and this isn’t your average red paint. INFINITI uses real gold-coated glass flecks applied in a three-layer process to achieve a finish that shifts and shimmers with movement. Even parked in a lot, it looks like it’s doing something. We got to see it in person at the New York Auto Show, and it was stunning!

Two Distinct Trim Personalities: SPORT vs. AUTOGRAPH

Each variant of the all-new 2027 INFINITI QX65 has a distinct visual personality:

QX65 SPORT makes an aggressive impression with a sportier front grille, unique 20-inch wheels, gloss black exterior accents (window trim, roof rails, door trim, rear bumper, all emblems), a graphite headliner, and gloss black carbonite interior trim. It’s the pick if you want the QX65 to look a little more street-mean.

QX65 AUTOGRAPH is the full luxury play. Its exterior is finished with satin chrome window surround trim, 21-inch machined-finish alloy wheels, and a black-painted roof. Inside, you’ve got open-pore wood-toned accents, a quilted dashboard, and semi-aniline leather seats with an asymmetrical diagonal quilting pattern inspired by the layered folds of a kimono. There’s also massaging front seats, because sometimes the commute home deserves a reward.

The Tech Inside Is Legit

INFINITI equipped the 2027 QX65 with dual 12.3-inch displays and Google built-in, including Google Assistant, as standard. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard, and there’s a Qi2 wireless charging pad so your phone stays topped off without hunting for a cable.

For audio, INFINITI partnered with Klipsch and the results sound impressive. The SPORT trim gets a 16-speaker Klipsch Premium system pushing 600 watts with an 8-inch TriPower subwoofer and 1-inch titanium dome tweeters. Step up to AUTOGRAPH and you’re looking at a 20-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere system at a full 1,200 watts.

AUTOGRAPH also gets Individual Audio — a system that uses headrest speakers to send music or phone calls specifically to the driver or front passenger independently. And across the lineup, INFINITI’s new Personalized Sound app lets you calibrate audio balance to your own hearing profile.

Under the Hood: VC-Turbo Power and AWD Confidence

2027 INFINITI QX65

The 2027 INFINITI QX65 is powered by INFINITI’s Variable Compression Turbo (VC-Turbo) engine, which puts out 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain’s been specifically tuned for bold torque delivery and a sportier, more aggressive shift schedule, so off-the-line response and highway merges should feel decisive rather than lazy.

Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is standard across the lineup, and for those who need towing capability, the QX65 is rated at up to 6,000 pounds when properly equipped – pretty solid numbers for a vehicle of this size.

Driver Assistance Features That Actually Do Something

The QX65 has an extensive list of standard safety and driver assistance technologies, including Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Blind Spot Intervention, Lane Departure Prevention, High Beam Assist, rear parking sensors, and ProPILOT Assist. Optional add-ons include a Smart Rear View Mirror and a 10.8-inch color head-up display.

The SPORT and AUTOGRAPH grades add a suite of camera features including 3D Around View Monitor, Front Wide View, and the clever Invisible Hood View, a system that digitally renders a see-through view of what’s directly in front of your bumper, making tight parking situations and off-road terrain far easier to navigate.

Top-trim AUTOGRAPH buyers can also opt for ProPILOT Assist 2.1, INFINITI’s hands-free highway driving system. On compatible freeways, it handles acceleration, steering, and braking, though you’ll need to stay alert and ready to take over at any time.

The Bottom Line

2027 INFINITI QX65

The 2027 INFINITI QX65 looks like a genuinely compelling package. With a sharp fastback design that breaks from the crowd, a powerful Klipsch audio system, a capable VC-Turbo engine, and starting price just under $54K, INFINITI is clearly aiming to compete with the best in the premium midsize segment.

If you’re in the market for a luxury SUV that doesn’t look like everything else on the road, this one is worth putting on your list. The 2027 QX65 is expected to arrive at INFINITI retailers in early summer 2026.
