Bungee Jumper Survives Freak Cord Snap

Published

on

Erin Langworthy, a 22-year-old Australian, bungee jumped from the Victoria Falls Bridge into the Zambezi River on New Year’s Eve. Fellow tourists cheered her on when she jumped, but started freaking out when the cord snapped in two, plunging Langworthy into the river!

Amazingly, Langworthy survived the fall (as well as the “croc-infested waters”), suffering a fractured collar bone, as well as massive bruising in the accident.

This is why I would never do anything like this in a place where it isn’t HIGHLY regulated. I may not do it when it IS Highly regulated!!

I Bungee Jumped in Las Vegas years ago, when AJ Hackett still had a presence there. It was an adrenaline rush like no other!

Of course, I was jumping over a pool that was 8ft deep, so if the rope snapped I’d be dead. I guess that’s part of the thrill. 🙂

Pretty crazy; she’s definitely very lucky. I’m not sure that I would bungee jump, it’s not really on my “Things To Do” list.
