What I’m Listening To – 8/09/11

Three picks this week from three completely different genres.. It just goes to show you how varied my tastes are I guess. Hope you like ’em!

Rihanna – Cheers (Drink To That)

I heard this song on the radio the other day, and I was surprised to find out that it was by Rihanna (with Avril Lavigne). I imagine this song is pretty popular at the college bars for obvious reasons.. Not a bad club jammer either!

Amy Winehouse – You Know I’m No Good

Amy Winehouse passed away a few weeks ago, but that’s not why this song is on the list this week. I just finished watching all four seasons of “Secret Diary of a Call Girl”, and this is the theme song for the show. After hearing it over 40 times, it’s now stuck in my head forever.

Metallica – One

I was talking with some friends the other day, and somehow this video got brought up. Anyone that grew up in the 80s surely remembers the video. In my eyes this was Metallica at it’s best, and it appealed to everyone (not just the metal heads).
