Parks And Recreation Is Must-See TV!

Published

on

Parks And Recreations is one of the funniest shows on TV, and I’m glad I stuck with it through it’s awkward first season. Every week, I’m amazed at what they come up with, but this Thursday’s episode took the cake! (Or big ol’ cookies, if you will)

Leslie and Tom getting matched up on the Hoosier Mate dating site, Ron and April sampling vegan bacon at Whole Foods, Andy explaining his Skittle sandwich, and Chris and Ron’s burger contest.

But you can’t forget Tom Haverford’s food nicknames:

“Zerts are what I call desserts. Tray-trays are entrees. I call sandwiches sammies, sandoozles, or Adam Sandlers. Air conditioners are cool blasterz with a ‘z.’ (I don’t know where that came from.) I call cakes big ol’ cookies. I call noodles long-ass rice. Fried chicken is fry-fry chicky-chick. Chicken parm is chicky-chicky parm parm. Chicken cacciatore: chicky catch. I call eggs pre-birds or future birds. Root beer is super water. Tortillas are bean blankies. And I call forks…food rakes!”

This episode was funnier than Ron Swanson’s Pyramid of Greatness, and that’s saying something. If you missed it, check it out on Hulu and get back to me.
