If you thought Lamborghini had already hit the ceiling on insane open-top supercars, think again. The Italian automaker just pulled the wraps off of the stunning Fenomeno Roadster, a 1,065 horsepower hybrid V12 roadster so extreme, so exclusive, and so breathtaking that only 15 lucky human beings on the planet will ever own one. Unveiled at the second edition of the Lamborghini Arena today, this machine doesn’t just raise the bar. It launches it into low orbit.

Here’s everything you need to know about this bad boy.

This Is Lamborghini’s Most Powerful Roadster. Full Stop.

Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster

The Fenomeno Roadster is the latest addition to Lamborghini’s prestigious “Few-Off” lineup – ultra-exclusive, halo models that exist in a universe beyond their regular production cars. And this one earns its place at the top of that lineage in a big way.

Powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 paired with three electric motors, the combined system output is a staggering 1,065 HP (up from 1,001 HP in the Revuelto). That’s the most power ever crammed into an open-top car with a Lamborghini badge. The naturally aspirated V12 alone produces 823 horsepower at 9,250 rpm — a specific output of over 126 HP per liter, which is a historic best for the brand.

“Fenomeno Roadster represents the purest expression of our brand values: visionary design, uncompromising performance, and absolute exclusivity. It is a unique interpretation of driving emotion, created for a select group of customers who seek something truly beyond convention. Each example is conceived as a collectible masterpiece, where engineering excellence meets true bespoke craftsmanship,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.

Collectible masterpiece is right as only 15 of these will ever be built.

The Performance Numbers Will Make Your Head Spin

Let’s talk numbers, because they are absolutely savage:

  • 0–62 mph: 2.4 seconds
  • 0–124 mph: 6.8 seconds
  • Top speed: Over 211 mph

And all of this with the roof off. The Fenomeno Roadster is an evolution of the Fenomeno Coupé introduced in 2025, and Lamborghini’s engineers had to completely rethink the aerodynamic package to achieve the same levels of downforce, stability, and balance as the closed-roof version – without a roof over your head. As you can see, they pulled it off.

The Hybrid V12 HPEV System Is An Engineering Landmark

This is the first time Lamborghini has ever put a V12 hybrid High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) powertrain into an open-top car, making the Fenomeno Roadster a genuine milestone in the brand’s electrification journey.

Here’s how the powertrain breaks down: the 6.5-liter V12 does the heavy lifting, while two electric motors sit at the front axle and a third electric motor is positioned above the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Those motors handle torque vectoring, regenerative braking, and pure electric drive mode – powered by a 7 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The braking hardware is equally impressive. The CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brake system, developed from motorsport technology, features a three-dimensional structure of long carbon fibers embedded in a carbon matrix, with a special coating that increases durability. It’s designed to work with organic racing brake pads, and a built-in ventilation system keeps disc and pad temperatures in check under extreme conditions.

The Aerodynamics Are A Work of Art And Science

Building a high-downforce roadster is one of the hardest challenges in the supercar world. Without a fixed roof to work with, every surface has to work twice as hard. Lamborghini’s engineers redesigned all of the Fenomeno’s upper functional surfaces specifically for the Roadster.

One of the cleverest solutions? A spoiler mounted on the windshield that redirects airflow over the cockpit and feeds cooling air directly into the engine bay, no air scoop needed. The rollover protection bars, required for passenger safety, were integrated into the car’s carbon fiber structure and sculpted to be as aerodynamically slippery as possible, flowing into the design’s signature “Speedster humps.”

The wide rear diffuser, active rear wing system, and optimized underbody all work together to generate maximum downforce at speed. In short: this thing is engineered to stick to the road at 200+ mph without a roof helping it do so.

The Design Is Pure Lamborghini, and Then Some

Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster

The Fenomeno Roadster is already considered a design inspiration for open-top super sports cars. The design team has created a model that reflects the rich historical DNA of the company while also looking to the future.

“With the Fenomeno Roadster, we are continuing the dream of many Lamborghini enthusiasts. It’s an exclusive and precious looking design; the Fenomeno Roadster represents the ‘feel like a pilot’ philosophy. At the same time, we are showcasing the relentless creativity of our Centro Stile, which has been actively creating Lamborghini designs for more than 20 years,” says Mitja Borkert, Design Director of Automobili Lamborghini.

Borkert also gave some insight into the design philosophy behind the engine presentation:

“The challenge is always to create a unique character; unexpected and with a personal identity as a design idea for the new Lamborghini. For the Fenomeno Roadster, we worked intensively on the creative inclusion of the engine area, which has the visual illusion for the driver that it is floating. That illusion helps to integrate and celebrate the driver as much as possible. Once again, we have placed the powertrain as the center of attention. Our unique V12 hybrid powertrain must always be the main proportional aspect of visualization.”

The signature hexagonal design theme runs throughout, from the LED light shapes and side skirts to the air intakes, wheel arches, interior air vents, and instrument displays. It’s the kind of attention to detail that makes every angle of this car a conversation.

The Interior Is Built Like A Racecar Cockpit

Lamborghini calls the cabin philosophy “Feel Like a Pilot,” and it really delivers. The cockpit is trimmed in carbon fiber, Corsatex by Dinamica, and Carbon Skin, a patented material used across the dashboard, seats, and door panels. The contoured bucket seats feature contrasting red stitching and are built to hold you in place through extreme cornering forces.

The infotainment and driver interface, called “Pilot Interaction”, combines 3 digital displays with hexagonal graphics, haptic buttons, and aviation-inspired toggle switches. The goal is to keep your eyes and focus on the road, not fumbling through menus.

Custom Bridgestone Tires Engineered Specifically For It

Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster

Bridgestone, Lamborghini’s exclusive technical tire partner, didn’t just pull something off the shelf for the Fenomeno Roadster. They built two completely bespoke Potenza tire fitments from the ground up using their Virtual Tire Development (VTD) technology, a process that cuts raw material consumption and CO2 emissions in development by up to 60%.

For road use, the Potenza Sport ultra-high-performance tires come in 265/30 ZRF21 (front) and 355/25 ZRF22 (rear) – massive sizes that are also available with run-flat technology for peace of mind. For track use, there’s a separate semi-slick next-generation Potenza available in 20- and 21-inch sizes, fully homologated for public roads. Both sets are developed and manufactured in Italy and carry the exclusive Lamborghini sidewall marking.

The Color Scheme Is A Tribute To Bologna

The reveal car wears Blu Cepheus on the upper body, transitioning to Rosso Mars as an accent color on the lower half – a combination Lamborghini chose as a direct tribute to the colors of the city of Bologna (red and blue), home of the brand’s heritage. The upper blue color is also a nod to the 1968 Lamborghini Miura Roadster, the car that started it all.

A Lineage Of Legends

The Fenomeno Roadster joins a short but iconic list of Few-Off open-top Lamborghinis. The tradition started with the Reventón Roadster in 2009, continued through the Veneno Roadster (2013), the Centenario Roadster (2016), and the Sián Roadster (2019). Each of these cars pushed the boundaries of what was possible at the time, and each served as a proving ground for technologies and design solutions that eventually trickled down into production models.

With only 15 units scheduled for production, the Fenomeno Roadster is already one of the most exclusive automobiles ever created. Whether you’re a collector, a track warrior, or just a guy who appreciates something truly extraordinary, there’s no arguing with this: Lamborghini just built the greatest open-top car in their history.
