If you are an avid traveler like me, you were probably going crazy last year being stuck at home due to the pandemic. But thankfully, the worst of it looks to be behind us, with people getting vaccinated and destinations finally opening back up. So who’s ready to pack their bags and get away for Memorial Day weekend?

American Airlines has got you covered, today announcing dozens of round-trip tickets for last-minute Memorial Day Weekend getaways across the United States for under $199! You can see the full list of low fares on American’s Memorial Day sale page. As you can see, the deals aren’t just limited to Memorial Day weekend either, with deals all the way through October.

Some of the highlights we saw today include round-trip flights from Orlando to Philadelphia for $119, Miami to New York City for $157, Philadelphia to Fort Lauderdale for $127, Dallas to Denver for $97, and Los Angeles to Miami for $157. There are plenty of other deals listed, so look for your home airport and see where you can jet off too on the cheap.

Naturally, you need to decide if you feel comfortable enough to fly yet. I flew to Florida back in December to visit family and felt that the airlines were taking all of the proper precautions, and I’ve had a number of friends travel since (both for work and pleasure), and they’ve all had similar experiences. Being vaccinated also takes some of the stress out of flying. Of course, airlines still require masks to be worn on-board.

As more and more people start to travel again, airline prices are sure to soar (see what I did there?), so if you want to take advantage of a cheap getaway, here’s your chance. Safe travels!
