Review: Four Points by Sheraton Los Angeles Westside

Published

on

On a recent visit to Los Angeles, we stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton in Culver City. People love talking smack about Culver City, but I didn’t see anything wrong with it. Location was the main reason we chose this hotel – Easy access to the highways, close to LAX and the beaches, and there’s even a Westfield Mall down the street. Done deal.

If you’re not a Starwood Preferred Guest, be sure to sign up for their program! SPG has a great loyalty program, and you can earn additional points by using their Starwood American Express card. (There’s a nominal annual fee, but you get enough points from signing up for a free night so it’s well worth it)

This location was recently renovated, and it’s quite stylish. All 195 guest rooms feature their “Four Comfort Beds”, which are are comfy as they look. As you can see in the picture below, rooms come with a refrigerator, and they also offer free Internet.

If you want to kick off your morning with a swim, they’ve got an outdoor pool. If you want to get in a workout, they’ve got your typical hotel gym. I heard that the restaurant in the hotel (Marin Steak & Spirits) was good, but we were too busy sampling all the great food LA had to offer!

The bathroom was on the smaller side, but they give you plenty of storage space for all of your stuff. We stayed in Culver City for five nights, and we were really happy with the accomodations. If you look at reviews on some of the popular travel sites, you’ll see that this hotel got favorable reviews from most.

Great location, reasonable rates, and a comfy bed. What more could you ask for?

Interesting… I stayed at a Four Points Sheraton in Asheville, NC recently. I probably should have taken pix, because my room looked WAY better than yours. Though you couldn’t tell from the outside of the place the rooms would be that nice.

How was the shower though? Mine had two settings: scalding hot and MAGMA!

I’ve stayed at a number of Four Points over the years, and I’ve never had a bad experience! Like you said, very low profile from outside, but very nice rooms and accomodations.

Sucks about your shower, you should have asked to switch rooms..
