Back in January, we participated in a road-trip with Chrysler. Our trip started off in Chicago, where we stayed at the luxurious Conrad Chicago.

The Conrad is one of the city’s premier luxury hotel, and is located on the Magnificent Mile, just off Michigan Avenue. Residentially inspired with a touch of contemporary sophistication, the Conrad welcomes guests with tailored amenities, exemplary service and an experience which embraces the individuality of each guest.

Nestled in the heart of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile shopping district, the Conrad Chicago is walking distance to many Chicago attractions including; Lake Michigan, Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and The Art Institute of Chicago. The hotel is just a short ride to The Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, and the Adler Planetarium.

The layout of the hotel is a bit unusual.. The lobby (shown above) is on the 5th floor, and our rooms were on the 9th floor. There’s a mall below the hotel, so if you don’t want to brave the elements (it was COLD in January), you don’t have to!

The Conrad boasts 311 spacious, contemporary furnished Chicago hotel guestrooms and suites, featuring complimentary internet access, 42-inch flat screen televisions, in-room entertainment systems, a pillow menu, deep soaking tubs with separate showers, and luxury amenities by Acca Kappa. It was a beautiful room, and the bed was extremely comfortable.

I took full advantage of the soaking tub after nearly freezing to death at the Bears’ playoff game, and was grateful for such a deep tub.

Conrad-Chicago_Restaurant-At-Conrad

We ate most of our meals at The Restaurant at Conrad, the signature restaurant of the Conrad Chicago. The restaurant features a revitalized menu of American crafted cuisine accented with a taste of rich diversity and unique Mid-west centric style. Except for a trip to a local deep dish pizza joint (which was totally worth the 9-block walk!), we ate all of our meals here, and the food was just phenominal.

As you can see in the picture above, I went with the Filet Mignon for dinner. It was cooked to perfection, and rivaled some of the best steak houses I’ve dined at. It was VERY impressive for a “hotel restaurant”, that’s for sure! My dining companion sampled quite a few things from the menu, and he barely came up for air. 🙂

All in all, the Conrad Chicago made our trip to Chicago all the better. There’s a reason it’s rated the #3 hotel in all of Chicago on TripAdvisor Now I’ve got to try out the #1 and #2 hotels to see how they compare..

Book a room at the Conrad Chicago, and you’ll be sure to have a great stay!
