I don’t know about you, but once this whole coronavirus mess is behind us and the quarantine has been lifted, I’m celebrating by going on a tropical vacation, and I’ve always wanted to visit Fiji. While it might be kind of neat staying at one of those cliché overwater bungalows, I’ve got my eye on the Kokomo Private Island Resort, a luxury all-inclusive resort like no other.

The passion project of billionaire Australian property developer Lang Walker, Kokomo Private Island is a luxurious 140-acre private island featuring rainforest and white-sand beaches, and just a stone’s throw away from the Great Astrolabe Reef, described by experienced divers as a Fijian treasure and regarded as one of the world’s largest and relatively unspoiled barrier reefs in the world.

Looking for privacy? Kokomo Private Island delivers that in spades. Not only is the island only accessible by private yacht (up to 197 feet in length), helicopter or sea plane, but if you’ve got the money, you can actually rent out the entire island.. for a cool $150,000 a night. A popular option for the super rich and famous who want to avoid the paparazzi.

Kokomo Private Island Resort sets the bar when it comes to “private island luxury”. The lavish $100 million resort features accommodations that re-set the bar. The 21 open-plan beachfront villas each have their own infinity pool, rainforest shower, walled garden, and separate butler’s entrance, and there are 5 standalone hilltop residences if you like your pampering with a view.

In keeping with the island’s indigenous surroundings, the resort’s villas and residences feature thatched roofs and have been constructed from sustainable building materials such as timber and stone. Perfect for couples, families and individual travelers, the spacious accommodation options are elegantly furnished, feature traditional Fijian nuances, and are designed to provide you with a luxury locale you can call your own.

Guests will surely want to take a dive with the resort’s PADI 5 Star Dive team, as Kokomo offers some of the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the world. There’s also shark diving, waterfall hikes, manta ray swims, sport fishing and sunrise fishing expeditions. Want something a little more low key? Relax with a soothing massage at the spa, pay a visit to the turtle sanctuary, or sample the finest Fijian cuisine at one of the resort’s three restaurants.

As you can imagine, Kokomo Private Island is a popular honeymoon destination thanks to the sheer beauty of the island and the world-class scuba diving. Haven’t said “I do” yet? The resort has an underwater wedding officiator so you can tie the knot among tropical fish. How cool is that?! They really have thought of everything here.

With prices starting at $2,500/night, Kokomo Private Island Fiji is a pricey endeavor. But as you can see from these photos, it’s looks to be an incredible resort, and I can’t wait to check it out.
