Watch As Ken Block Gets Sideways In The Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400

Last year, Ford invited legendary rally driver Ken Block for a first-drive of the new, all-electric Mustang Mach-E. As you might remember, he only had one thing on his mind, and that was seeing what the Mach-E could really do, repeated asking “Can I hoon it?”

Seeing as how the car he was driving one of the very first hand-built prototypes, Ford was not about to let him get his hoon on. But he was still suitably impressed with his first experience driving an electric vehicle.

But like they say, all good things come to those who wait, with Block finally getting his chance to get the Mustang Mach-E sideways. And not just any regular Mach-E, but a one-of-a-kind, 1,400 horsepower prototype called the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400, a collaboration between Ford Performance and RTR Vehicles.

Ford dropped a crazy video of the Mach-E 1400 last week, showing Vaughn Gittin Jr. as he took on Ken Block, Chelsea DeNofa, Hailie Deegan, and Joey Logano in this “electrifying” crossover. And now it’s Block’s turn behind the wheel, with the Head Hoonigan In Charge ready to see what seven electric motors can do.

Needless to say, plenty of tires were smoked as Block embraced his inner drift demon.. There was a bit of a learning curve for Ken, as he wasn’t used to the Mach-E’s instant torque. But as you can see in the video above, once he got the hang of it, he was able to pull off some pretty sick drifts and such before running out of light, and it was pretty epic!
