Bodybuilding Supplements To Get Ripped!



It’s a universal truth: exercise has dozens of physical and mental health benefits. It improves cardiovascular fitness, strengthens bones, and elevates mood. This is all well and good, but it would be foolish to believe that people exercises solely for these reasons. Our true motivation for exercising is simple: sex appeal! It’s not enough to merely be healthy.  We want the ripped abs and chest of a Greek sculpture. Luckily there are multiple bodybuilding supplements that can help mere mortals achieve a godly physique.

A good multivitamin should be the foundation of all supplement stacks. Multivitamins are crucial for two reasons: they help prevent illnesses that can keep you out of the gym, and they give you the trace elements and minerals your body needs for optimum metabolism. Few people have the time and money to eat the variety of foods necessary to avoid vitamin deficiencies. A multivitamin is cheap insurance. Just be sure to never exceed the recommended dosage.  Though rare, vitamin overdoses do happen.

Whey Protein:
There are two crucial elements in becoming a ripped freak: muscle gain, and fat loss. Doing either of these things in isolation will not produce results. All too often people trying to become lean rely heavily on cardio and starvation diets to lose fat. The better approach is to rely upon weight training to build muscle, and then cardio to eliminate fat. Muscle is the engine of the body’s metabolism, and muscle is made of protein. Whey protein supplements are a convenient and cheap way to increase dietary protein. Additionally, starvation diets are known to slow the metabolism and cause muscle loss. Taking whey protein between meals insures muscle growth and wards off hunger. It’s a no brainer.

Creatine Monohydrate:
Like whey protein, creatine monohydrate is a supplement aimed at increasing muscle mass. Creatine achieves this in two ways: it increases muscle hydration, and it aids muscular energy storage. The human body relies on a single molecule called ATP to produce energy. As a muscle does work it burns up its supply of ATP and failure is reached. Creatine helps the muscle recycle ATP for longer, leading to more stamina and increased workout intensity. Additionally, creatine is a hydrophilic molecule: basically it likes to be surrounded by water. For this reason creatine is called a cell volumizer: it helps the muscle grow bigger by improving muscle hydration. And for all its benefits, creatine has an excellent safety profile. Twenty years of clinical study and widespread use have shown no complications from creatine use.

Everyone knows caffeine makes the world go around. But surprisingly, it also increases strength, reduces hunger, and actually promotes fat loss. Caffeine directly stimulates a process called lipolysis which triggers the release of fats for use as energy. Because we often faced food shortages in our ancient past, the human body prefers to hold onto its fat stores for emergencies. Caffeine helps overcome this tendency. It also increases mental alertness and gives motivation to exercise. Just be careful.  Excessive caffeine intake can lead to debilitating crashes and cause insomnia. Try finding a caffeine supplement that contains few ingredients and never rely on sugary energy drinks for your caffeine. Energy drinks are full of empty carbohydrates. For those who are sensitive to caffeine, a green tea supplement is an excellent alternative. It gives a gentler lift and provides antioxidant benefits as well.
