Subway Just Dropped Its First-Ever Value Menu, With 15 Items Under $5
If your lunch breaks have been stuck between “spend too much” and “eat garbage,” Subway just gave you a third option. The sandwich giant has officially launched its first-ever Fresh Value Menu, and it’s rolling out nationwide right now with 15 entrees priced under $5.
We’re talking freshly made subs, protein-stuffed wraps, and a rotating daily deal that makes planning your week a whole lot easier.. and a whole lot cheaper.
What Is The Fresh Value Menu, Exactly?
This isn’t a watered-down dollar menu. Subway is positioning the Fresh Value Menu as a real answer to fast food value that actually delivers on quality. Most items pack more than 20 grams of protein, everything is freshly made to order, and none of it is fried. The menu is broken into three categories: Deli Faves, Protein Pockets, and the Sub of the Day, and all of it lives under that magic $5 price point.
As Subway’s Chief Marketing Officer for North America, Dave Skena, put it: “Subway’s Fresh Value Menu proves you don’t have to choose between eating well and saving money. Your wallet and stomach deserve freshly-baked bread, real protein and the perfect combination of sauces and hand-chopped veggies – all for under $5.”
Pretty hard to argue with that.
The New Deli Faves: Four Classic Subs For $3.99
Leading the charge are the Deli Faves – four fully customizable six-inch subs at just $3.99 each. Two are brand new to the menu:
- Spicy Pepperoni – Aged pepperoni, Pepper Jack cheese, lettuce, Roma tomatoes, red onions, jalapeños, and creamy Sriracha. This one’s for the guys who like a little heat with their lunch.
- Ham & Salami – Black Forest ham, Genoa salami, Italian-style Provolone, lettuce, Roma tomatoes, and honey mustard. A deli classic done right.
Rounding out the Deli Faves lineup are two proven fan favorites: the B.L.T. (bacon, lettuce, Roma tomatoes, mayo) and the Cold Cut Combo (Black Forest ham, Genoa salami, Bologna, Provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, mayo). Both are solid, no-nonsense sandwiches at a price that won’t hurt.
Protein Pockets: The Grab-and-Go Option That Actually Fills You Up
If you need something fast but don’t want to crash before the afternoon is over, Protein Pockets are worth knowing about. Launched earlier this year and now part of the value menu at $3.99, these are soft tortilla wraps loaded with real protein, hand-chopped veggies, and Subway’s signature sauces. Four options to choose from:
- Baja Chicken – Grilled chicken, Monterey cheddar, smoky Baja Chipotle, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños
- Peppercorn Ranch Chicken – Grilled chicken, Monterey cheddar, zesty Peppercorn Ranch, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles
- Italian Trio – Black Forest ham, aged pepperoni, Genoa salami, Monterey cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, garlic aioli
- Turkey Ham – Oven-roasted turkey, Black Forest ham, Monterey cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, honey mustard
Each one clocks in at 20+ grams of protein. That’s a legitimate lunch, not a snack.
Sub Of The Day: A Different $4.99 Six-Inch Every Day of the Week
Here’s the one to bookmark. Subway is offering a featured six-inch sub every single day for $4.99, and the lineup rotates through the week:
- Monday – Meatball Marinara
- Tuesday – Classic Tuna
- Wednesday – Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki
- Thursday – Oven-Roasted Turkey
- Friday – Black Forest Ham
- Saturday – Italian B.M.T.
- Sunday – Spicy Italian
Want to make it a full meal? You can add chips and a drink for just $2 more. That’s a complete lunch for under $7. You can even upgrade to a footlong Sub of the Day for $3 extra if you’re especially hungry.
