Celebrate National Rum Day With These Four Must-Have Cocktails

Tomorrow is National Rum Day, and we’ve got a variety of celebratory rum cocktails that you’re going to love. Each of these cocktail recipe features the new Captain Morgan White Rum. Slightly sweet with a taste of lush fruit, this light and crisp white rum will be perfect for what’s sure to be another hot summer weekend, whether at home, or at the beach or lake.

White & Pineapple, Splash of Soda
White & Pinapple, Splash of Soda

  • 1.5 oz. Captain Morgan White Rum
  • 5 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. soda

Instructions: Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour in the Captain Morgan White Rum. Top with the pineapple juice and splash of soda. Garnish with a lime wedge.

 
Spiked Agua Fresca
Spiked Agua Fresca

  • 1.5 oz. Captain Morgan White Rum
  • 2 oz. Strawberry & Mint Agua Fresca (recipe follows)
  • 3 cucumber dials

Instructions: In a rocks glass, combine Captain Morgan White Rum and Strawberry & Mint Agua Fresca with cracked ice. Slide the 3 cucumber dials down the sides of the glass.

Strawberry & Mint Agua

  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 cups of strawberries tops cut off and hulled
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 3 oz. lime juice
  • 2 tbsp. fresh mint leaves

Instructions: Puree all ingredients in a high-speed blender. Strain through a fine mesh strainer. Chill and set aside until ready to use.

 
White & Cola

  • 1.5 oz. Captain Morgan White Rum
  • 5 oz. cola

Instructions: Fill a glass with ice. Pour in the Captain Morgan White Rum. Top with the cola. Garnish with a lime wedge.

 
White Daiquiri
White Daiquiri

  • 1.5 oz. Captain Morgan White Rum
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup

Instructions: In a shaker half filled with ice, add Captain Morgan White Rum, lime juice, simple syrup. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass filled with ice. Garnish with lime.
