Krispy Kreme Celebrates PAC-MAN’s 45th Anniversary With Nostalgic Doughnuts

If you’re a fan of classic video games, Krispy Kreme’s a-maze-ing new collaboration is here to level up your snack game! In honor of PAC-MAN’s 45th anniversary, Krispy Kreme has teamed up with Bandai Namco Entertainment to launch the Krispy Kreme x PAC-MAN Collection, a nostalgic, flavor-packed tribute to one of gaming’s most legendary icons.

A Trio of Game-Inspired Doughnuts

The collection features three limited-edition doughnuts, each styled after a piece of PAC-MAN nostalgia and delivered in a custom game-themed dozen box that looks like it came straight out of the arcade.

Here’s what’s in the lineup:

• PAC-MAN Party Doughnut – An Original Glazed doughnut loaded with yellow buttercreme icing, colorful celebration sprinkles, and a PAC-MAN piece on top.
• TEAM GHOST Doughnut – A shell doughnut filled with chocolate flavored Kreme, dipped in black icing, featuring a PAC-MAN maze design, and topped with the infamous Ghost Gang.
• Strawberry Power Berry Doughnut – Another shell doughnut, this one filled with strawberry Kreme, dipped in red icing, and finished with white sprinkles and green leaf icing.

“These all-new PAC-MAN doughnuts are sweetest in multi-player mode. So, press start on a dozen and chomp on a maze of flavors with family, friends and coworkers,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme Chief Growth Officer.

Limited-Time Events and Freebies For Fans

From May 12–18, Krispy Kreme is handing out 45,000 FREE Original Glazed doughnuts during Hot Light hours (7–9am and 5–7pm). Just show up when the Hot Light is on and grab yours, no strings attached.

Even better: If fans help Krispy Kreme hit that 45,000 mark, the brand promises to unlock a fan favorite. “In honor of PAC-MAN’s love of fruits,” Krispy Kreme says it will bring back the Strawberry Glazed Doughnut, which last appeared in August 2023.

From May 12–14, Krispy Kreme is also turning its Doughnut Dots into “Pac-Dots” and offering a FREE 10-count with the purchase of any dozen.

And on May 22 (PAC-MAN Day), the real bonus round hits, when you can get a dozen Original Glazed for just 25 cents with the purchase of any regularly priced dozen. That’s right, 25 cents for a dozen. Insert coin and enjoy.

A Collaboration Worth Chomping Into

PAC-MAN is one of the most recognized video game characters of all time, and this collection shows just how timeless his appeal really is.

The Krispy Kreme x PAC-MAN Collection is available now in Krispy Kreme shops across the U.S., and you can grab them in-store, via drive-thru, or order pickup/delivery through the Krispy Kreme app and website. A limited 6-pack will also be sold at select grocery retailers.
