I’ve been a Transformers fan since the beginning, so I was thrilled to see my favorite childhood show turn into an action-packed movie franchise, with Michael Bay at the helm.
We’ve been watching the Autobots and their human allies as they defend the world from the evil Decepticons for nearly 20 years, with the first Transformers movie coming out in 2007.
Since then, we’ve gotten 4 more movies (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Transformers: Age of Extinction, and Transformers: The Last Knight), along with the Bumblebee spin-off movie.
Now, with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts set to arrive in theaters next month, Paramount’s releasing a limited-edition Transformers 6-Movie SteelBook Collection, and it’s the perfect way for fans to catch up on all of the thrilling adventures before the newest chapter roars into theaters on June 9th.
Debuting May 30, 2023, this out-of-this-world collection includes Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Transformers: The Last Knight), and Bumblebee, all in eye-popping 4K Ultra HD.
Each film is presented in a separate SteelBook with the feature on 4K Ultra HD Disc plus a Blu-ray Disc with legacy bonus content. All six SteelBooks are housed in a striking magnetic slipcase that also includes a collectible decal and access to Digital copies of each film.
This must-have Transformers set features an all-star cast that includes Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Mark Wahlberg, John Cena, Hailee Steinfeld, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Rachael Taylor, Stanley Tucci and more.
As you might imagine, the packaging itself is the main draw of this collection. The SteelBooks all have a matte finish to them with colorful, matching artwork, each one featuring a different character on the front cover and the corresponding number of the film (so you know what order to watch them in). The 6 SteelBook cases are held inside a sturdy, steely grey cardboard box, decorated with the Autobots logo on the front and a red “TF” on the back. The box flips open with a cardboard flap, that folds over and is secured closed by a magnet.
Some fans might be concerned by the fact that the SteelBook cases are slipped in right next to each other without any barriers, which could potentially cause some scratching over time, but ours arrived unscathed.
I plan on setting aside a weekend and watching all six movies and their bonus content in their entirety before heading to the movies to watch Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Should be a fun time watching them all again, as it’s been awhile since I’ve seen them.
The Transformers 6-Movie SteelBook Collection arrives in stores on May 30, 2023, and you’re definitely going to want to pick this one up if you’re a Transformers fan!
