Walking You Through The Engagement Ring Buying Process

Published

on

Last month, we gave you all the information you needed in order to purchase the right diamond, and now that you’re well versed in the 4C’s, it’s time to talk about the ever so important engagement ring.

Yes guys, if you thought that choosing a diamond was tough, just wait until you see the choices ahead of you when it comes to picking out the perfect engagement ring.

There are a number of choices you need to make when it comes to buying her engagement ring. What style ring does she prefer? What kind of metal does she want? And what the heck is her ring size anyway?

Shane Co. offers a wide variety of engagement rings styles, and each style carries its own unique charm and beauty. The one that ultimately lands on her ring finger is purely a case of personal preference. So here’s my suggestion – Go “window shopping” at the mall or local jewelery store and see what kind of rings she likes.

Next up is metal, and this is another complicated one. As a guy, I naively assumed that there were only two options – Gold or Platinum. It turns out there are numerous other options as well, including White Gold, Two Tone Gold, and Rose Gold. If your fiancee likes Platinum but it’s outside of your budget, consider going with White Gold instead – It looks the same, but it costs a bunch less. Tell her that you chose the bigger diamond over the fancier metal, and she’ll understand.

The last hurdle you’ve got to get past is finding out your girlfriend’s ring size without her getting suspicious. You can rummage through her jewelery box and take one of her rings to a Shane Co. store to get measured, or you can use this nifty ring sizing guide to determine her ring size. And if you happen to get it wrong, don’t sweat it, because when you buy from Shane Co., they offer complimentary ring sizing for life

So there you have it. You’ve now got all the information you need to purchase the perfect engagement ring for her. Now all that’s left is popping the question.

Good luck!
